Go ahead, get it out of your system.....I'm not that good when I play regular either.

All done?

OK.  Now answer me this?  Do you find yourself struggling to eke out wins that should be easy when you've been out for an a week or more?

Got stuck late at work for the last week and wasn't able to get in more than an occasional single flight.  Back last night for a full hour and it wasn't pleasant.  I usually play pretty regularly but sure seems like when I don't, I suffer.

I feel like my flying and aiming are good but the shots don't land.  People "magically" end up on my six and take me out.

Is playing this game a "skill" that degrades so quickly?  Why?  I don't fall off my bike when I haven't ridden for a while?

Maybe I'm thinking too much about mechanics of the flying and aiming to check my position and strategy often enough.

I also note that there was some kind of mission requiring use of premium ammo and EVERYONE was using incendiary last night.  Never gone thru so many fire extinguishers and still go down in flames....

OK, number one, yes.  Number two, LOL.

I also suffer after not having played for a while.  I need three or four flights to remember stuff that seems intuitive when I play more.

IDK... Lately I cannot play more than a couple battles without quitting in disgust.

Yes,lots of incendiaries last night and no matter what consumable you picked to stop them it didnt. So i switched to them for 2 matches and fragmentation was way better so back to that.

I find if a fav plane sucks switch to #2 and then #3,try out that tier 9 you got and havent flown because it seems every day the plane that flew good yesterday is crap today. Flew my il20 last night which i dont have a dozen matches in and rocketed 4 bombers so mix it up.

I do find it happen when I switch from plane to plane, takes a couple battles to get familiar again.

Last night, other than the event thingy that I hate going on, I was re working an old plane I sold long ago once I got past it. The F2G, have to regrind for the Starfire. Funny thing I found about it was, I had all researched to be able to elite it, and still had my pilot but only 93% :o

Now I still need to grind 160k XP to get the starfire. Even though I have the offset, F6U and F7U!

Just tells me the economy has gone to blazes.

My typical evening flying schedule always starts with my AR-68 (old fav from the 1.x days, very dependable for wins) and then goes to the spitfire line - tiers 4 thru 10, one win each to collect the 2x experience.  Staying in the same line keeps the win rate up as there are generally only minor differences in flying style.

Staying in the same plane increases the win rate and also makes sense when working towards daily missions, grinding up to specialist or researching the next plane.

Nothing worked last night, until I got on a short streak in my spitfire line and won 4 in a row to balance out my 4 losses to end with an even 50% for the night.

Check your settings on that plane.  I think you can accelerate the plane experience but that eliminates the pilot progress.

I took two years off so I have no clue what you are talking about.

I can't even get a match with humans.

Well OK. 1 or 2 other humans every 10nth match but still.

The bots make me feel like superman, other humans make me feel like

I never left nooburty.

if you do not score more the 3000 k a match the game well put you in and all bot match

i not say that your not but they add something  to that effect in the last patch so if you score over 3000

you should get human ..also  what tier are you playing..  because in tier 10 and 9 i get a lot of bot match

because most of the player seem to be hang out in tier 5 to 8  most match i get in tier 10 are only 2v2 or 1v1

You are too kind!  I did check the settings, they were all good.

Yes, like riding a bike, you never forget, but nobody scores me when I ride so maybe I stink at that too when I'm out of practice.

It comes and goes, don't fret it. Some times it is just the crowd, the match ups you get, the plane you choose, the connection to server...etc.

You will have good and bad days...just enjoy the good and learn from the bad...stay at it!

Add me in game, I will die fer ya :)

well above 3000 on many games and flying mostly tier 4-10 ( XF5u all day yesterday )

But yeah I can get WG would place a restriction on people before allowing them to fly with the big boys.

On another note. If MM was based on a score algorithm then people would exploit it.

Play poorly and score less than 3K be placed in all bot match and score like a king.

rinse and repeat.

Fun thing I've noticed.. after I win with big enough margins enough times in a row, the MM suddenly also starts giving me all bot matches. Dunno if it's just a timing of when we all hit queue thing or a purposeful thing, but the pattern has been strong enough both when doing badly -and- doing well I begin to wonder.

I am not a bot..lol.. we had a few matches yesterday back to back.

You and your bomber kept me from the #1 position. :P

Of course you did so well, now I want to try bombers.

I believe MM is just about as random as playing the lottery.

Makes you wonder if players still count in to try and get the same match.

I am... weirdly good with bombers now I've figured them out.

MM is pretty darn random, but people -do- still count in to try and get in the same match and it frequently works. We did that a while back. Amused the heck out of me.

I still have trouble getting Grade III Bomber on a consistent basis. I think the best I can get on a consistent basis is merely Grade IV Bomber.

Maybe it’s because I don’t have a B-32 Dominator yet?

An average player with an average goal: greatness, someday. Today, mediocrity will have to suffice. But no matter, I will always play to the best of my ability, and I will always strive to make the best of my ability just that little bit stronger and better.

Umm.. I dunno.. I rarely get below Grade III unless the game is over too fast (usually because we won). Then yea.. sometimes it's less. I hate those games and ignore them as part of my record though. My best suggestion is, do not orbit a base.. keep running to the next one while reloading and hit the next one. Don't drop multiple strings on the same base and trust your team to actually clean up the miniscule amount you leave alive after a bomb run. It's part of how I've increased my scoring significantly from when I first started playing a bomber. Tunneling on a target is bad no matter what class you're playing.. in bombers its a bit less obvious you're tunneling because your target is the whole node, not an individual piece.
