I dunno, I didn't really find this event that much interesting. Compared to Frontline in WoT at the moment it's rather dull. Frontline, doesn't really matter if you win or lose (the win/loss is more or less cosmetic) as if you do well you'll get good credits and xp on a loss too. It's fun, it's a brawl and if you play well you get rewarded and when a match takes 25-32 minutes that is really great.

Tried my i260 tonight and I dont have more then a couple dozen flights on it so it's basically stock.

I was not sure how to fly it so I focused on protecting the bombers for a bit but this planes not made for dogfighting and maybe the bomber pilots can correct me if i'm wrong but it seems the dogfight's and furballs now take place in the middle of the bomber formation since the last few days and thankfully friendly rams dont seem to happen now or I would have a lot because the poor bombers are in the midst of huge dogfights.

First 2 of 4 were wins,18 assists 8 kills the best and  I got a lot of pancakes and after 6 I had to take a break. Fingers and joystick hand were sore!

Most action I have seen since I started playing .:)

Killed 4 bombers with my am6 zero last round. 11 kills,16 assists in a zero.  Everyones on a feeding frenzy for bombers,

Just to be clear.. fighters -were- my worst plane type next to multiroles.. aren't anymore after this little event.

Because it's a shooting gallery.
Opinions are like certain body parts. Everyone has them and most of the time they stink.

Maybe try taking a breath, take what is there when it is there, adapt and move on and perhaps not expect to be a "status" symbol just due to your WR in a GAME!

Do you ever get tired of dispensing your 'advice' in the form of critical comments to others?

If you are referring to me...??? I am not offering advice, simply making a suggestion and posing my opinion.

See "I" know the difference. :)

Advice is for those intelligible and willing to accept it, offering an opinion is like placing fruit on a table free for the taking.

OK, I admit, towards the end, I kinda started to almost like this mission.  It would be much better if they did not nerf the Ground Attack and Bombers and then enhance the AA and Strongholds to such an extent.

But... in typical Persha fashion, they go waaaaay over the top in compensating for imbalance.

The thing I agree about from people who liked this mode is that there were a lot of humans in most battles and a lot of furball fighting.  I ended up settling on heavies and even re-purchased the Me-410 and reassigned my pilot/gunner who were drinking schnapps in the barracks like a couple of derelicts.

If you don't give a flip about win rate (and I don't 'cause I stink) then there were some fun times to be had.  It just took me some time to settle down and learn to love losing.

Granted, Persha did their usual inept "testing" and trying this in real-life before releasing, but at this point, what do we expect?  The unfathomable hubris of this "studio" is getting a bit old.

But aside from the total ineptness of the studio, you humans did very well in keeping the battle interesting and challenging.  Even when we all knew the outcome, many of you kept on going.

Well.. a lot of the crate missions were to kill, kill, kill, kill, so I guess that helped, right?

Anyway - bad job Persha - good job Players!

I dropped 5 bombers,4 il's and assisted in dozens of ju88,ME's and other heavier planes with my a6m3 in one match and thats some of the wildest flying I have done in awhile.Dive down for some ga's (and lots were flying in pairs which meant you got a 2 for 1) and then boost back up to the bombers, take out a few then back down to inches above the dirt over and over again. Kinda the kind of action the first game rolled out was meant to be like....pure adrenaline rush!

With a target rich environment like this mode the light fighter works well as a lot of people on your tail give up if you can outmaneuver them because theres so many targets and probably someone on his tail so you just peel away, hit closest target and go!

Crazy! Just watched a replay and dont know how I survived down to 2 hp at times. Most fun I have had in months with this game if not years.

I saw players getting killed 6, 7 and 8 times in one battle and yes it was a feeding frenzy for players to keep shooting down planes, thus ridiculous stats and medals. The problem is that was like bowling with "gutter bumpers" where your ball cannot go into the gutter, and you cannot miss the pins. It was pointless in many battles to shoot down your opponents, especially worthy and dangerous ones, because they kept coming back. I was in a battle where my team shot down Houjuunue 6 times, but that did not stop him from getting 31 or 32 kills and winning the battle. So great players flying anything but bombers and GA cannot be stopped easily no matter how well you try to stop them, because they kept coming back.

Fun is what you make it, and yes I imagine some people had fun. That is ok, I'm glad if they did. This last weekend resembled far more the video arcade game than anything strategic or tactical. Basically which ever side runs our of planes or time loses. The attackers actually had better success ignoring the idea of protecting the bombers and simply depleting the defenders of all their re-spawns to win. All you had to do was just kill enemy planes to win and it would have been easy as the attackers since the defenders would often line up behind the bombers as easy targets.

Once again I see people trying to put a smiley face on whatever they can think of, and that is ok, it is what people try to do. I think though when you break everything down, bomber escort was very poor quality, no creativity, badly unbalanced, and very arcade where even the most mediocre player could score higher than they ever had. Fun, for some perhaps.

We are willing to accept poor quality and ill conceived design as a positive and that is how far this community has fallen. I'm sorry but that is the stark truth.

Nice try, but this wouldn't work for the simple reason that clients would want refunds if the game crashed to desktop on respawn, and the Hinder Desk could get overwhelmed.
