I honestly meant no disrepect or regret for the flighted time with Corvus and hope to have more.

Simply that it was a different and as stated, un coordinated few battles.

As to the escort, I am not going to dig to find the long thread on bombers where I mentioned or asked, in an effort to close the disparity between bomber pilots and non bombers, what they wanted and or needed for cover or assist. My goal was to aid and share in what they do bring to the game without myself flying bombers, which I have no desire to do.

As I recall, I got little if any response.

They aren't all going to be victories anyway, so you learn from the defeats.

because i only get introspective after a loss... sifting through the post-battle report, looking for excuses

Just to add, as for the Escort Idea, I am all in and hope to be part of it. It will take some concerted effort prior to any battle however as Corvus mentioned.

A game mechanic to allow tracking or targeting team mates would be a huge help.

Edit/add:

Booze bar n grill is always open for such coordinating.:kamikaze:

For Booze's? Nope. It's an in-game text channel, sometimes we'll all end up on one discord or another but no requirement thereof.

Well I plan on finding Corvus for escort service tomorrow evening if he's around.

After getting my 6 relentlessly chewed off tonight in my He-111 I realized how nice and effective even occasional cover would be.

Thanks for the offer.

You probably pick up more in victories than you think.  Case in point, I have been playing a T8 premium Brit fighter (Seafang) for the past few days.  Token mission + pilot training.

After a couple of victories, I started getting more and move victories vs. losses.  Finally figured out how to play the plane given that it not as good as the T8 Spit, but has a lot of the spirit of that plane.

All this with an under-trained pilot.  While I usually do peruse the stats more when I lose, when I start to win, I tend to realize "oh yeah, this is what I meant to be doing".

It's ON.  The Bf-109B is actually a pretty good escort for this guy.

The Bf-110B is better, but I sold it long ago...

The Bf-110C-6 is acceptable, but not as good as the -110B for the duty.

I knew that.  :)

No, it sometimes takes some time for flight mates to figure each other out.  Zig has an advantage in that he and I have a lot of flighted time together.  It just so happens that my favorite aircraft is a German heavy fighter.  Oddly, as it turns out, that is exactly the kind of plane you need to defend a bomber.  (Actually, a Pancake is also a good choice at T8.)

But Zig and I have a system that just works.  I spend time covering him, AND doing some limited freelancing.  Or, he takes a high-value target, and I loiter and keep it.  It really depends on the situation and the target profile, AND the other team.

When we flew dual Me-410s, we kicked some serious tail, huh?  ;)

It kicks tail, for sure.  I was flying it because I lost three consecutive battles in my Dora.  Convincing team mates to not run immediately  to the central airbase to get shot down is hard.

I don't fly turny stuff much, and Japanese stuff less, but the Ki-84 is a keeper.
