Yeah, I kept running off my regular one, and said "Screw it, I'm getting myself a GIANT DAMN MOUSE PAD!!!!"  LOL

Space limitations, I use a lap desk, otherwise I would -love- a bigger mousepad :/ I regularly run off the side or into the side of the laptop haha

i have issues with my braided mouse cord getting caught up in my frantic wild swings

has anyone had luck with those cord bungees or springs?

I've used wireless mice for so long.. this is my first corded one in a while and I just made a teflon coated wire "U" and nailed it into the desk to hold the cord down. Cord now stays in a track that keeps it from going all over. (Obviously I didn't nail it all the way down and pin the cord, it can free travel through the arch of the "U" all day, it just keeps it from going side to side and whipping around. We'll see if this works or starts causing fraying over time, if it does I'll look at another solution.

Not sure this is the problem your talking about but when I used braided cord for a while I found it very annoying as it seemed to end up under my mouse on occasion.

I think its the nature of braided cord not wanting to bend easily and my constant lifting technique.

It also wanted to keep its coiled right out of the box shape for the longest time.

I ended up suspending the mouse on 2 foot of cord from a lamp every night until it agreed to straighten out.

Even then it was still resistant to bending so when I finally found the Rival 310 it had a nice rubberized flexible cord and i haven't had that problem since.

braided vs rubberized

Day 2 with the Glaive - Finding that the ability to switch your mouse sensitivity by pressing a button on your mouse makes gameplay better.. -way- better. Depending on whta I am doing I can flip between three of my 6 sensitivity settings and totally change the way the reticule moves on the screen, very useful capacity for furball vs. distance sniping vs bombing vs turrets!! Who'd have thought this would be my favorite feature :P

I've used a online joystick starting with the Sierra Nework's  Red Barron in the mid 1980's. Then on GENIE with Airwarrior, on Warbirds, Rise of Flight, Aces High, Warthunder (which was/is stupid) and then World of Warplanes starting with closed beta in 2012 or something. Had a chair with a CH Fighterstick, throttle and rudder pedals. Track IR as well.

Always a Joystick.

Looked like an idiot who was in touch with the space station. I only fly with a joystick. Always have, always will. :hiding:

I use double sided tape to keep it from moving around.

This game has always felt to me like a mouse+keyboard game.  It's weird that it never felt anything like a flight sim.  Flying a JS+rudder+throttle seemed strange with a third-person view.

Perhaps it's my cranky old man Disco era Atari and arcade background, but what you're saying doesn't compute for me.  Even in 2-D sidescrolling games we usually used 1 or even 2 joysticks.

LOL, the old Atari that had the joystick with the red button?  My first video game!

For 1st-person-view flight games, I felt the need for a joystick.  But for whatever reason, the third-person view of WoWP begged for a mouse.  My dream is to have a VR headset where I can look out the canopy hemisphere and use a joystick, throttle and rudder pedals, and when I look down I see instruments that have useful info, like airspeed, altitude, etc. Look outside and down, see the wing, look behind and see the empennage, look forward and see the spinning prop. Look up and see the canopy bow, or the birdcage - whatever.

I could see how it might make some folks motion-sick.  I'm immune to motion sickness, so it wouldn't bother me at all....

VR would be so cool, and solve the problem with being able to pan view in mouse and not joystick

I have a Kinesis Advantage USB https://kinesis-ergo.com/support/advantage/

Scored free off previous employer who had purchased it for an earlier employee.

Manager doing some cleanup found it in a box & knowing I use Dvorak layout/had expressed some interest in odd keyboards he handed it to me.

I nearly died, I'd dreamed of having it forever but way too Expen$$$ive for me, happily said I can keep it when I left.

That said, I actually use Logitech G105 keyboard with G400S mouse.

I just use my VR headset as my monitor and taped my joystick to my Quidditch broom.

The Wi-Fi gives me the ability to run around the yard for a more realistic play style.

I have a call into a stump removal company because I keep tripping over a stump in the yard

making me lawn dart too many times.

Exercise and health are very important

Sometimes the ducks get in the way.

I use some cheap old $20 Microsoft keyboard and the same cheap Logitech M510 wireless mouse that I use for everything else...

Should I have gotten better ones when i built my last computer rather than using the ones that I've had for years? yeah probably... but they still worked, and I guess I'm just that cheap.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
