The problem with the lack of fixes on the joystick us: 
1. known

2. turned out to be much more difficult to solve than thought.

3. Repaired with high priority and will be resolved as soon as a fix is ​​available.

I know this is not much to go on, however at least you got some form of heads up by WG. The RU WoWP pilots are just as annoyed by this as the EU and NA WoWP pilots. Hopefully this problem will get fixed this year.

Let's be candid, their entire strategy recently is focused on trying to tap into FOMO (Fear of missing out).

 

The new "German" equipment is a perfect example... along with all the "exclusive aircraft" marathons. (Barring the current XP-55 and Vamp. marathons, they actually got those right, imo)

 

Either you play the game, regardless of if you find it fun... or, you miss out on equipment that -will- give you an advantage over players who didn't get it.

 

And I really dislike their doctrine of making EVERY SINGLE MISSION CHAIN require extensive play in GA and/or Bombers...

Newsflash: I won't capitulate and grind for an Efimov's just to get a neat plane... I have a grand total of 1, and I know several top 25 players who have 0 Efimov's...

Has nobody in the office though about making certain stages have an "OR" option...

You know, "Destroy 10 GT OR 10 Aerial Targets in a single sortie"  ... "Earn an Efimov's, OR an Akamatsu, OR a Lambert, OR a McGuire"

Alas, I digress...

 

 

Short term, this likely boosts the numbers of players...

 

But, what they fail to understand time and time again, is that this approach burns people out... and makes playing feel like work, not fun.

 

When the game is no longer fun, it is only a matter of time before that erodes peoples FOMO, until eventually they just don't gaf anymore...

 

Once people don't gaf, they stop playing completely (or, begin to play in a toxic manner)... because the dev's are offering literally NOTHING for an incentive to keep playing.

 

 

My opinion on the beginnings of a fix to this, is get rid of upgradeable equipment... it was a neat experiment, but a failure...

 

I've said it before, but... it is worth repeating. "The best players in the game DO NOT NEED any extra advantages over the majority... most of them DO NOT WANT one..."

 

They want to win based on their skills... not because they upgraded their stuff more than you, but because they outplayed you, on an even field... (Or, win a fight that favored their opponents)

 

I would even go so far as to say that any player that thinks these types of unbalanced mechanics are a good thing, the game is better off without...

 

Because they just want to feel superior to people, not actually have a good, balanced, fight.

Played one tier 9 game last night a scored a few points for the current contest.  Ranked right around 1335 with just that one game.  i don't think they are pulling in many players with their current strategy.

I know people that -just- started playing again today, and they made it onto the top 500 in about an hour...

 

120ish kills...                   

 

 

 

When they run events like this, I refuse to play...   (Something I frequently said to Sonic, as feedback)

 

Not because I think I won't be able to get anything, it's clear that is actually very easy... It is to protest their garbage design practices...

 

It's why I don't have a Spitfire IM... and many other things offered over the last several months. 

 

 

They just want to keep everyone distracted with grind fests for shiny rewards... while they constantly delay addressing the -actual- issues with the game.

 

Hoping you won't notice that it's been 3 months since they said they were going to do something... but you were busy grinding.

 

Like the J/S bug...

 

Or addressing material gains on wins...

 

Or addressing Daily missions...

 

Or fixing the old Big Boost Bug... (In hindsight, -that- boycott may have been during the Spit IM event as well)

 

Or addressing the "must use top modules in Specialist" issue people have with ordnance and gun configs...

 

But, they had the time to make the news UK MR's actually have the option of ordnance... they just can't be bothered to retrofit the old planes.
