Hi World of Warplanes community.

Eventually I worked out how to start this freaking chat. I am not a player, but really, to hunt around is so bad.

My brother underwent emergency brain surgery just after 02:00 South African time this morning to reduce the swelling. The operation has been deemed a huge success.

Details of incident:

King had been working on a construction site some 90 miles from home. Last Thursday, a truck backing down a minor incline to offload 8 metric tons of sand lost brakes. The truck then ploughed through a newly constructed house wall where my brother was working behind at the time.

I hear he saw the truck out of control and dived to push a co-worker to safety just in time. The co-worker received minor injuries and was released from hospital the next day.

Medics on site managed to free my brother quickly from the rubble. The rubble prevented the truck from rolling over him. He was airlifted to hospital 32 minutes later.

He had received deep lacerations to the torso and all limbs. He required 187 stiches for these cuts but no broken bones. 2 Fractures, Skull and left forearm.

He underwent 2 ops at the same time for internal organ damage before his wife arrived the next day. These where from shards of glass that penetrated his right lung and lower intestine just above the navel. An arrowed fragment of wood missed his neck by a fraction of measurement.

15 hours after the brain op today, King responded to his wife’s voice by squeezing her hand lightly. She now refuses to leave my brothers side until he opens his eyes. The Neurosurgeon says this is a promising road forward to recovery but it must be noted, there are signs of possible long term brain damage – too early to tell at this stage, he commented.

For now, Kingwicked is stable and in ICU under heavy, heavy sedation. It may take a further 2 to 3 months before he is released.

It has been noted that a few have requested to send flowers, cards and gifts – his wife and I appreciate the request but we have taken a strong outlook upon this request and decided that emailing King, wife and family with wishes and prayers would be more suitable.

Address: Kingwicked101@gmail.com

Then King, when recovered, can read all your emails received. That is when he is well enough and strong enough to do so.

Thank you all again for the wishes and prayers for my brother, his family and wife.

I will update all again once King is awake and talking.

Take care all.

As heavily sedated King is, he is responding to his wife's voice by squeezing her hand gently.

That is word just in.

Hi all

Last update for me, King has responded to his wife and opened his eyes for a few moments - 5 minutes ago. First time since the incident.

The wicked ones never go easy!!

Thank you all again.

So glad to hear the updates

I'm breathing a little easier

If you get a chance ask him to slow down a little bit

And to stop scaring the crap out of his friends

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Oh man...this sucks! But, I'm glad to hear he is starting to recover. Hopefully, it's a full recovery.

I remember some pretty spirited battles with him on the other side in the 1.9 and before days. Good player and good dude.

Lesson to be learned from this and something I preach often: Use your days wisely. You never never know whats coming down the road.

Hi, I'm glad he's doing better! He's probably gonna have a ton of medical bills. I don't know about the rest of you, but maybe if we could throw a few bucks his way?  Anyway we could help?
