I'll be sending the list to blindfoId tonight, if I spelt your name wrong please warn me.

My thoughts and reflections on last Saturday.

As Ace said we could rate the event "a complete success".

We had two games of 12v12 all human combatants out of six games in the night with the rest being 12v11 and 10v10. There were even some moments in when we had a slight over flow of players and couldn't fit them all into the same match.

The timing of 9:30pm EST (yes, I'll link to a converter next time) worked out perfectly. We had participation from all over. We had people from pretty much all time zones with all different and unique accents and I'd say roughly 75-80% of people were on comms.

All in all, things went rather smoothly, we were able to play 6 games in roughly an hour and a half. Teams were shuffled after each game except for after the 5th one, because the teams ended up being fairly balanced.

There were a lot of Spitfires.

T7 was a little bit limiting for newcomers in the variety of planes they could participate in.

The map was balanced and nobody had any particularly harming lag.

Reitousair sent me a list of potential maps to use for next time, maybe I'll run a poll to see which one we do, polls are always fun.

Potential maps to use:
Peripheral Mission: Snowy Shores http://i.imgur.com/rybSwn2.jpg
Asian Border: Frontline http://i.imgur.com/xBsHwDS.jpg
Plateau: Decisive Hour http://i.imgur.com/L7lR7H2.jpg
Albion: Sphere of Influence http://i.imgur.com/54GIUPz.jpg
Alpine Gambit: Narrow Pass http://i.imgur.com/szcukoy.jpg
Road to Rome:

SpiritMyFox streamed the event on facebook...
Sorry, that still cracks me up. I watched all of it, it was a good stream.
Everyone was civil, there was zero drama, everyone had a good time. And if you're still reading this then you are the kind of player that this event was for and you'll appreciate this message. Last night I experienced the core of what the game is about again. The game at it's core, is about community, human interaction, human cooperation, and human competition. Everyone played at they're best, pilots were treated with respect and camaraderie. No matter how much garbage the devs try to bury it under, the game at it's best is about community. Thanks to every one who participated. :honoring: (the after party was great for all those who stuck around on comms :bajan:)

And if you thought that was all I had to say, you'd be wrong. :kamikaze:

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

tier 5 might be best for all until we get enough to run 2 games

this way we don't eliminate the newbs and people who like lower tiers

I'm certain it will increase numbers

then run something like tier 5 & 7

uh, maybe

hehe :honoring:

Message received, gold will have been sent to the winners by the end of the month (apologies for the delay, a little bit a question of convenience).

I looked through the stream by SpiritFoxMY and it seems like you had a great time in the sky, guys.

mnbv_fockewulfe, bring some more! :izmena:

Looks light light fighters, multi-role, and GA didn't fare very well as far as scoring points.  Also seems that limiting bombers to only one per side, you gave them a slight advantage for scoring points in that they didn't have another bomber to share the points with.  Just an outsiders perspective from seeing the screen shots.

The community event was an absolute blast, for sure. There's a lot to figure out if we want it to be more organized and open to others while keeping varied gameplay but hopefully we can iron things out in due time, and I'll have to try to remember to record the matches I participate in. Us in the blue team had some funny things over comms (remember, according to WoWp, suicide is a good thing!) that went unrecorded unfortunately.

Oh, also, I won first place! Wow I won! Woo, I don't know what to write here to make me seem like more of a [edited]. Uhhm... Yay?

You probably have a good reason, but why play the NA server and not EU ?? You're in the same time zone ...  only one hour ahead now because of our silly EU daylight savings scheme.

I'm pretty sure mnbv would have loaded in 2 bombers per side if we'd of had 4 in the queue..

CapnU was waiting to load in with a B32 but no other bomber showed up when he was available.

And yeah Heavy Fighters rocked this world too, especially when flown by some Ace pilots.

Lotta fun.

Just be yourself and I am sure it will work its way out. <o

I logged in to the room, saw there was a waiting list. You had plenty of people, good to see. Maybe next time.
