Congrats.  The Spitfire I was my first tech tree Tier V.   (I had picked up the  Spit Ia and 109 E-3 package a few weeks before getting the Spit I).   I found T5 to be wild at first - seemed a lot more chaotic than 1-4, but I got used to it pretty quickly.

Today I Spec'd both the Hornet and the Hognose.  I did not, however, take them out for a test drive afterwards.  Update on how that went on the morrow.

I Spec'd the Gloster P.228 two games before I unlocked the Javelin.

 

OMG, how sweet the result!!!!!!

 

double engines and Light Wing, all the power and no more targets drifting out of the fire zone due to lack of lead.

 

Thankfully, I'm used the the ADEN bloopguns due to the Hunter and German heavies.  Am SO looking forward to taking the delta-winged bomber destroyer out tomorrow.

SpiritFox hates the Javelin because of the guns, but I enjoyed it A LOT.  Spoiler alert - the Jav is FAST.

I ran up the UK Heavy line today, then buckled down for the final 22 kills needed to reach Spec. 

 

and found out that I still needed four more sectors. 

 

So, two games later, a lot of silver and Enhancements to gear, I took the newly Spec'd Javelin out for a test drive.

 

17 Kills, Hero, Legend, McCampbell, 16,645 points.  Yeah, that extra engine slot is sweeeeeet.

Small victory here, but I finally specialized my F2H T9 Heavy. That was a grind and a half. I played it again, and again and again.

 

The thing is, it helped me play the XF-90 better as the guns seem to need more lead. I know the F2H guns are in the nose, but it still seems to need some elevation to connect. Same for the XF-90.

 

I have never played a plane where I got so many "sparkles" off the plane I was shooting with absolutely no hit registers. Finally figured out that if I did not pull lead, I was just shooting into the blank space right behind the plane.

 

Forgot to add, I also specialized my XF-90, forgot about that one. Same thing, lots of sparkles, not so many hits. Need that Marksman II because I cannot hit diddly squat.

Tier X is fast fast fast.  Getting the proper lead in a stiff bird can be a real chore.

 

I have spend much ammo ruffling the slipstreams of targets . . . . . .

After some head-scratching games on the part of my team mates, the La-160 is finally specialized.

 

My hybrid speed/turn build makes it a pretty good all-around light fighter.  Know where you can speed, and know where you can turn, and the T9 skies are yours.

3 of my planes got specialized yesterday.The planes mentioned are the F4F Wildcat,the P36 Hawk and last but not least,the Hawk 75M. I am about to buy my 1st tier 6 plane and got my eye on the P-40.

Now i also got to get me a bomber,It will be my first bomber,Any suggestions?

P-40 is Tier V.  The Mustang is the Tier VI US LF.

 

The first B-17 is a bit of a slug to start with.  The Do-17 at Tier IV is a spiffy bird, and easy to use.  I don't fly Soviet tech tree, so can't speak to that line of bombers.

The Soviet tree is suffering until T5.  The Pe-2 is actually a pretty good bomber.  The Pe-2 M82 is very good, if you use it right.

I highly recommend doing the A-26 missions.
They are grindy as heck. And that sucks  BUT it does force you to get some much needed practice in at destroying ground targets efficiently (which is bomber job number one) 

And once you get it you have  a fun little plane (and crew and even some good equipment ) for scratching that bomber itch. 
With the additional benefit of flying the only teir 6  bomber that can also fight like a heavy if it has to.
As opposed to all of the others that pretty much have to bend over and take it when a heavy decides to send you back to the hanger. 

All in all a quite forgiving to use plane  for someone not used to (or completely unaware of) the styles of play that maximize the efficiency of the various tech tree bomber lines. 

If you want to throw a little bit of cash at WeeGee the low tier premium bombers are a fun introduction.
From the tech tree; the Do 17 in tier 4 is the only one i bothered to keep.

American line is nice but tops out at T7 B32. German line has it's dogs BUT eventually you get to the Ju287/EF131! Russian line is just 'different'. RB17 can't one pass anything but is wicked fast, PE-x are more dive bombers than level bombers. TU-x I struggle to completely kill targets, may be a me thing. Others do extremely well in them. For plain fun get a Blenny and spec it out. 16sec reload is a blast and most things just can't get to you without putting in some effort.

Mid tier bombers. Oversimplified.

Soviet = Get in fast, get out faster at medium to low altitudes with a small quickly reloading payload.

German = If you fly at the optimal altitude  every one can shoot at you but you are as fast as you are gonna be. which is pretty quick. And sufficiently accurate that with a bit of practice one bomb drop gets you one small/medium ground target kill. All that engine power also means you can fly in Low earth Orbit. High enough to not get shot at by AAA. and even the heavies. 

Except the American Heavies

Spruce Goose and P-38's can and will chase you down at any altitude. Its a good thing their engines are fragile enough that even your garbage Defensive turrets can still save you by dispensing enough engine crits to force the heavy and/or MiG 'Stang 109 trying to kill you to loose enough altitude that it cant reliably shoot you down. 

Defensive turrets are trash. And only good for handing out engine crits and pilot wounds.

American are the opposite.
Big Ugly Fat Flyers. Slow at any altitude. Carpet bombing means aiming is for suckers. when you have a HUGE payload. LOOOONG reload. 
IF you efficiently lay down your stick of bombs, THEN you can; in theory, solo flip any zone in one pass. With one drop. This line is balanced under the assumption that you (somehow) already know how to do this.

Which means you can save your second drop (if you have one) for the next cap zone.
If you dont then your caps flipped over time efficiency is going to be in the toilet. because you are so slow that you really dont have the time to go back around and do it again.

Defensive turrets CAN be tuned to be an active or passive aerial no fly zone depending on equipment and gunner skill choices..

which makes it the only bomber that can efficiently cap an airfield. So you can put as little or as much thought and effort into using your turrets as you wish and get along just fine

. In a Flight you can (in theory) be an unholy terror on par with a flight of spruce goose.

Use voice comms to maximizes its teamwork covering each other defensively.  Also each of you can focus your one stick of bombs on only half of a cap zone. which is over kill no matter what zone you bomb.
