apparently that was before you went over to the Dark Side?

I was in a HUGE hurry to climb the tech tree, and sold it.  "I'll never play T5 again, right?"

I got a Boomerang in a crate tonight.  15 games, 3 Aces, 2 Marsaille and it's specialized.  Much luck was involved and I doubt once I mount my wings that I will be ignored as much.

Specialist A/C

USA: XP31; F11C-2; YP29; F2A-1; XF4F-3; Hawk 81-A1; XFL; XF4U-1; P39N; P-47B; F4U-1,-4ROC: Hawk II; Ki43c; Tomahawk IIb; P51K |

UK: Goldfinch; Type 224; Wirraway; Hurricane I; Boomerang; Venom; Spitfire I, Ia, XIV; Tornado; Mustang Ia; Japan: A6M2; A6M3 (exp); Ki61 |

Germany: FW56; AR67; BF109B, E-3, G; Spitfire V DB605 | USSR: LaGG 3(4); P40 M-105 |  EU: B534; S199

I purchased "Specialist" for my Stuka - I wanted to get the emergency control surfaces and the special turret ammo because this plane is such an easy target if the enemy decides to snuff me.

Should I get the gunsight or armored cockpit?  Armored cockpit might be slightly weak and I don't like that it reduces manouverability.  However the gunsight might be useless since air-to-air aiming is COMPLETELY bugged in the Stuka so I almost always shoot at ground targets where aiming is mostly limited by internet lag. I'm leaning towards the armored cockpit to keep my pilot (manouverability) and tailgunner in action for better survival, but the loss of manouverability will suck.

I already have long barrels, so the choice is between gas operated action and reinforced bolt carriers - it seems like rate of fire would be more important than "burst length" (i.e. cooling?) for the Stuka, since I'm trying to hit all the sub-targets in a single ground target quickly and in one pass.  Pop pop pop pop!

I have some tailgunner extra-crit ammo in my depot, but it won't last long.

Oh, once I get a new crew into mine, I might consider purchasing it for my own Stuka. Do you have Reinforced Airframe on it yet? Anyways, Armored Cockpit, because it can have a side benefit of more HP, which this plane sorely needs.

As do I. I merely haven’t purchased specialist for my own Stuka yet because it feels like the credits that I would need to purchase the specialist status are always more needed elsewhere in my hangar. Also, mine doesn’t have a crew in it at the moment as my original Stuka crew is now in my Me-265(a great plane with a playstyle I LOVE to bits), and I just haven’t gotten around to putting in the new crew that I made for it in it yet, as I haven’t really found the necessary 200,000 credits yet as my Tier VIIs, and now my one Tier VIII, the Me-262, have been funneling most all my credits toward them(them, and also my new Pe-2 M-82).

Indeed, I can only buy Spec for planes that really NEED it for full enjoyment.  I like the Ju 88P better, but it doesn't need Spec, and 600k is just too much

Yeah, like, my Bf-110 C-6 has its specialist status available to purchase, but I’m not going to, at least not for now, because I would feel like far too much of a sealclubber, and besides, it doesn’t really NEED it for me to enjoy it to the fullest. Also, it’s far from my most played plane anyways.

Added the XFL to my specialist collection.  I've had this plane since nearly the beginning of 2.0 and just never fly it.

Tonight I struggled to finish qualifying Specialist as a bottom Tier weakling in the plucky little Ba.27M

Did I purchase Spec?  After that you bet I did!  And I upgraded everything to Ultimate, AND bought all the seasonal camos.  I WILL HAVE MY REVENNNNNNGE!

Last night I unlocked the specialist configuration on my P-40 M-105. Now, once I have finished all this credit grinding for the Ju-288C, I will probably purchase specialist for both it and my Ju-87G.

I'm up to Tier 8 in all the heavy lines plus the Fockewulfs, Republics, and Corsairs. So far the Blenheim F is the only plane I've deemed worth buying Specialist for. It just badly needs the consumable slot for engine cooling.

I’ve specced all my premiums that I use for credit grinding, and am close to ultimate on most of them:

Fantome
Mustang I
BV P.203

And have since specialized some favourites:
Blenheim F
Bf 109 B
P-38F
BF 109z
ME 265

Finally, my immediate need-to list; planes that are ready & deserve it:
P-47N
ME 209a
ME 262 HG III
F2G
Attacker
Swift

The HGIII is one of those planes that doesn't need it.  You can rock the T10 world without specialization.
