I intended to play my Spitfire XIV this morning to get the win bonus, but I figured I'd better play a warmup game before I took out a higher tier plane, so I grabbed my XF4F-3.  I earned my first Marsaille medal, which happened to be all that I needed for finish unlocking my XP-55.  Not bad for a warmup game I suppose.

July 23rd:

Bf-109 Z Zwilling

Me-410

Ki-45

Hurricane II

July 27th

Me-410

Hurricane II

Ki-45

Bf-109 Z Zwilling(An amazing match, though ultimately a loss. Grade I Heavy Fighter, Hero of the Sky, McGuire Medal)

Ki-45(good match. Grade III Heavy Fighter, McCampbell Medal, and also finally unlocked the Ki-102, though it will be a while yet before I am able to sell the Ki-45, purchase the Ki-102, get the Ki-45 crew trained for it, and outfit it with equipment and consumables.)

Both were good days, particularly today.

Edit:

B-32(I still hate this plane just as much as I did the last time I played it, but I want to be ready when the B-29 comes out, so I have to grind it.)

B-32(ditto)

Finally finished with the specialist grind on my Beaufighter.  I was pushing it hard, and being dumb during the push.  The final battle before specializing, I needed one capture participation and 5 aerial targets destroyed.  Since I knew those things would happen in the first few minutes of the battle, I just relaxed, and didn't push.

I laughed - after fighting it ALL WEEK, the final battle for specialization was one of the best I've ever flown, because I just relaxed and let it flow

I also flew my P.1092 in a battle with human FJ-1 and Gobling pilots.  Separately, they were meat on the table, but together that could take me.  My P.1092 can turn on a Gobling.  And I only had to have him in my sights for about a second to burn him down.  I was shocked that I could take him like that.

P-40

SE-100

Bf-109 Z Zwilling

A6M1

A6M2(First match, MM was retarded as it often is and put me in a Tier VI match, on Cold Peak(!) no less, and up against a specialist Spitfire I. Almost a loss and I did barely anything, but the sealclubber still managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by not managing to kill the last remaining plane alive on our team before we won on points.)

A6M2(second match, FXP'd the top guns. Bottom tier again, this time on Archipelago: Decisive Blow, a very bad map for slow planes. A win again and a better score than before but still very lackluster.)

I've been spamming my P-43 to complete a token mission + the multirole pilot of the week thingy.

Forgot how good this thing is.  It plays horizontal BnZ with a bit of bombing to mix things up.  Scores some points this thing does.

Token mission is for assists.  Get a lot of them with these machine guns, but sometimes they just burn right thru.

Some Yak-9, some FW-57 (for tokens).

Yak-9 is really hit or miss (derp gun pun) - sometimes, I can really do great work.  Other times, it's like I'm flying in Jell-o.

I might need to LBSh for tokens instead.  :)

In the flight that earned my specialization in the Mighty Duck i received a supply crate. :great:
The supply crate has seen fit to bless me with a Wirraway.
And the token mission desires that i destroy 200 AAA Guns. :amazed:

So be it, then. :sceptic: With the stars aligned as such; the time has come.
I must take to the sky and forge my place among the Pantheon of Ground Attack Gods.:izmena:

More grinds.

Ki-84 II.  This plane is great, and it sucks.  It's great because it turns on a dime, and hits REALLY hard.  It sucks because it is so slow at T8, and can't go very high.  My battles are hot and cold.  One battle, I fly it like a seasoned ace, and the next battle like I just graduated bottom of my class at fighter school.

Yak-9.  Flying at the fringes helps.  What is really great is when the other humans are flying GAA.  This thing is a GAA-buster, for sure.  And sometimes bot bombers - humans know better, and fly higher.

FW-57.  Flying for tokens

LBSh - tokens.

NC1070 - tokens.

Me-262 HGII.  I started flying for tokens, and then decided that I wanted to do a bit of ruling the skies at T9.  The Yak and the Kawasaki aren't my idea of awesome, and I am just grinding.  So, to heck with those, and bust out some 4x30mm love.  I had the lead dialed in right away, and was zapping everything from every angle.  Had a human in an IL-40 cussing at me because we seemed to end up in the same caps at the same time.  And the HGII eats the IL for dessert.  The IL driver has two choices, really.  Either he can go and blow stuff up to get the cap, and ignore me to make sure he gets the cap flipped quick, or he ignores the ground targets to try and get guns on me.  Spoiler alert - either way, I'm going to shoot him down.  It just depends on how the map is as to how I approach him.  From about 500m out, an IL-40 is a one-pass kill, usually.  But that rarely happens on a human-powered IL.  So, it's a two-pass deal.  And I open up at about 700m, and run the guns to overheat.  Pull up,boost straight into the sky away from the cannon of the IL, and cool those guns.  Wait to see what he does, and come back to finish him off.  Or, if he flips the cap, damage him to about 5% of HP, and let him slowly fly to the next cap, then shoot him down there.  Or finish him off, and zoom to respawn, and shoot him down coming out of respawn.

Situational.  :)

I think, even though I have the F2H, I still love my HGII more.   Oh, and last night - I soloed a mining plant with my HGII.  Those bombs really make a difference!

Today, it was the Me-262.

Now I remember why I love you so much, even though your guns are maddening.

More T2-4 token grind.  Just need to blow up AA guns.  That's all.  Every battle, though, turns into a "Hey, I can do both!"  Except, that it never does.  Took my Pegasus out to give rocket love to AA guns, come away with a win, two guns destroyed, 5 aerial victories and a pile of XP.  *sigh*

Take out my Bf-110B.  Use the bombs on AA sites, use the guns, oops, there's a human in a Bf-110B, I guess I need to keep him off my back, oh crud - now we are headhunting each other.  Two more AA guns, three area captures and 11 airplanes shot down.

DAMMIT.

Maybe today, I'll stay on-task.  Sure.  :/

Polikarpov I-5:  Just hard to go wrong with this plane.  Not my best game in her but she still cut through the red planes like a hot knife through butter.  Ran into a someone in a Goldfinch that took exception to me shooting him down, swore in chat that he was going to find me to which I replied "saves me the trouble of having to look for you".  <-----  Biplane Girl. :playing:

Polikarpov I-15:  Stupid super-noob mistake.  I've been slowing specializing my lowest tier planes as sort of an experiment, but I've run short on parts so I've stopped that for now.  However in a rude surprise, when I rolled the I-15 out of the hanger, I noticed that I had "specialized" her but hadn't mounted a single module on her ... none,  She was a stock out of the box configuration but flying around with a big bullseye on her back. I decided to attempt to see if I could mount enough modules on her to get past the Improved rating on anything and the answer was no, I could get to improved but no further.  Just a stoopid stoopid noob mistake.

I ended up going with the cockpit armor and reinforced tail section rather than what I might have ordinarily chose (because I had more parts for them than for other options).  Still, she flew well and the improvements made her noticeably tougher.  Also ran into the same guy in the Goldfinch and I'm afraid he didn't like my I-15 any better than my I-5. *halo*

Kochyerigin TSh-2:  Not my best game of the evening.  Not sure what the rest of my team was doing but I know where the red planes were, I think all of them were shooting at me.  :amazed:

Why anyone would want to knock my poor unthreatening innocent little TSh-2 out of the air is beyond me.  Just a lot of rude red planes out there (you know who you are).  :child:

Polikarpov TsKB-12bis: Had a pretty good game with this cute little monoplane.  Carrying two light machine guns at T3 is a bit underwhelming but the 12bis can dance in the air and just makes you feel like you could be a mid-air ballerina.  Found a I-16(e) pilot that couldn't quite grasp that the 12bis can turn sharper than the I-16 but it was a really loopy loopy circle of death as my twin mgs nibbled small chunks out of him with every pass.  Finally my frantic hitting of the "enemy on my tail" key summoned a bot to help me out or I might still be out there looping.

Polikarpov I-16(e): Always have loved this little plane.  Yes she is a monoplane, yes she's slow enough that biplanes can outrace her, but she is a cute little packet of exploderation to the red planes since the Russians actually figured they needed guns on this plane.

That's about it from here, Biplane (noob) Girl signing off. :honoring:

oh yeah ...

BIPLANE FIGHTERS ATTACK!!!!!  :kamikaze:

He-111 for some AA gun finishing up.

FINALLY.  THIS is the airplane to use.  Getting harassed by HFs kinda sucks, because the defensive guns on this airplane BLOW CHUNKS.  But in the end, bombing from outer space and keeping my speed up really helps against the HF folks.

Then, I'm working on specializing my Tornado.  [facepalm]  Four battles of potato team mates.  I needed to be a GAA escort, I guess.  We just roam around the map, capping.  Ju-88P + Tornado = COME GET SOME.  Eventually, I'll get 36000PP for destroying enemy aircraft.  Oh, hey - if you're in a HF, don't get into a turn-fight with a Tornado.  Even the mighty Ki-102 is going to fall to a Tornado in a turnfight.  BnZ, people.

Yep got a ultra cool Santa Bag from one of my AWESOME clan mate and she and I have been gleefully inflicting misery on the red planes ever since!!!  (just wish she was a biplane).

Kochyerigin TSh-3:  Not my best flight in this monster, ended up being everyone's favorite target but emerged VICTORIOUS at the end.

Arkhangelsky/Tupolev SB: Great game in this plane, helped flip two sectors, elimanated over 10 ground targets, fought off a trio of Heavy Fighters and lost the game

Kochyerigin BSh-1 EIGHT BOMBS ON BOARD, enough to Bom Bom Bom your night away. Flipped a Mine on my first past and went on to sew confusion amongst the red planes.  VICTORY WAS OURS!!!

Kochyerigin-Yatsenko DI-6i             Well took on a lot of Heavy Fighters and GAA's in this game and you need a lot of time to pump enough 7.62mm bullets into one of those to exploderate it, however the Di-6i got the job done and led us to VICTORY!!
