At some point in my playing, my Me-262 HGII got to specialist status.  I wasn't grinding it, I was just working toward the HGIII.

So, I loaded the HGII up with the stuff I've been doing to my other German HFs.

Holy.  Hell.

Why didn't anyone tell me?  This thing just straight up ROCKS IT.  It can run away from everything.  It can melt everything down (assuming you get shells on-target, of course.)  An RB-17 is an afterthought - which, a tier IX vs a tier VIII, makes sense.

I went up against a flight of Specialized Pancakes.

Syrup, anyone?   OK, yes, it was a tier above, but DAMN.  Maybe I got lucky.  Maybe the stars aligned and everything worked out, but this plane was nice before the specialist, and I don't have any equipment past advanced.  But it was an effortless battle, where I was killing GAA and RB-17s within 20 seconds of each other.

I can't wait for the HGIII.

The T8 Me-262 is hard to get used to - those slow cannon make you tear your hair out.  But if you can get used to them, the -262 will tear stuff up.  And it's FAST.  Not as fast as the J8M, but still pretty fast.  The HGII, with the new 30mm cannon will just eat stuff up.

Yeah, they both turn like ocean liners, but that's not why you run them.  You run them because of giant guns and super-fast.  By the time anyone is turned, you're way out of range.

If they get to turn at all, that is.:D

the one that i really like is my tier ten  but here biggest issue is how fast you get  fly up on some targets you there an gone it like what the real pilots of the me Me 262

would say the love the plane because the where faster then most  all planes   but  the also  said that was a problem as well be cause you only had a few secound to hit the plane some time the play would be there then gone before the could score a good hit kinda like the Me 262   it plays very real from all the things i seen or read from the German  Me 262  ...

You taught yourself...

seriously though, skill breakthroughs in this game are so cool when you get them

you don' need no stinkin' ultra uber pilots to show you skills

most folks learn skills that fit their style of play

grats... now go kill some bots

:)

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

LOL, yeah.  By the time I get up to the HGIII that's what it will be about.

Mostly, I ignore the bots unless they fall under my pipper or if they are a means to take or keep a cap.  I had enough going on trying to fight the Pancake pair to worry about bots this battle, but yeah, at tier X especially - it's going to be a lot of solo or 1 v 1.

Another nice thing is that the HGII carries 1100lbs of bombs.  And with those bombs you can do a pretty good job on a lot of caps...

Amen, I also picked up the HG II over the weekend and it's such a blast, from ripping up GAs on the deck to taking out RB 17s at 4000 meters in one good climb, and then right back down again and whipsawing a Specialist Spitfire like he was nothing

Every grindy moment on the T8 262 is rewarded

Crushing the hopes and dreams of a Spitfire pilot is never wrong.

One thing that cracks me up, but shouldn't, is that if you land a burst of 30mm on a Gobling, those little guys just evaporate.  Of course, landing the shells is an issue, but sometimes those pilots are otherwise engaged, and not paying attention to that HF inbound at 900kph.

I am half way to the HGIII.  I'm feeling impatient, and want to free XP to the prize.  But since I'm having such a great time playing the HGII, maybe I'll take my time.

Oh, I'm keeping the HGII for sure.  If the tier IX or X bombers ever show up, these guys will be the cure.

In my opinion, at higher tiers, especially tier 9 and 10, there is only one criterion to determine if a plane can be considered good: whether it can deal with human bombers and GAAs. If not, then I never call it good. Top Spitfire XIV player vs top RB-17 player? Spitfire has no chance. Top F-86A player vs top IL-40P player? F-86A has no chance. Me 262 HG II is so dominating because it can deal with pretty much everything.

As I dropped down into a mining plant, I found an IL-40 that was at about 75% HP.  Taking it down was almost casual with the quad 30s.  RB-17s, even human powered with a high-skill rear gunner, don't last very long at all.  Bot RB-17s are an afterthought.
