This holiday mission was well thought out by all Devs.

 

However, with this said, I feel that some of the rewards could have been bigger and better relating to the minor awards on the Candy Snake.

 

The mission for the Vampire F1 was tough but worth the 12K gold at the end. I did use tokens through some of the mission but the Gabreski for the last part to receive the plane took all of 5 battles in the Me P.1102 B.

 

Thank you WG for this event and all the background scenes.

 

Besides for the extremely tough Cyber Bully Bugs one had to work through, WELL DONE! AWESOME WORK!! FANTASTIC MISSION!!!

What happens to those excess candy canes I am accumulating now?  Do I get some kind of reimbursement for them?  I know we get reimbursed for unused certificates.

I don't know about you all but I like this event better I got the typhoon today I haven't tried it out yet. I have been working on getting other planes researched and I'm  trying to grind to the tier 8 plane. so far I hope the warplane team does more events like this but that being said I think they should do something a bit different next time. like for points you get candy canes like one thousand points you get a candy cane. five thousand points you get three candy canes and ten thousand points you get five.. but all and all its a blast. plus the premium bi plane is fun I am trying to get it to the specialist statues.

I thought that the missions for the Vampire and the XP-55 did not expire at the end of the holiday events?

You get free exp (50?) for every candy you collect after completing the maneuvers ...

Do you also get the special skin and hangar slot when you already have the Vampire ??

I'm doing the XP-55 at the moment, but will pick up the Vampire mission if it's worth it. Since it doesn't expire you can take your time anyway ...

@blindfold, I understand that when you already have the plane, you get gold for it. But what about camo, pilot and hangar slot ??

And he had a hell of a time with all the bugs in this game... I know as I am his wingman & waited every time he had to restart the game... When we were flighted anyway.... Again we need HOTFIXES now.

The downside of these xmas events is those of us in the southern hemisphere who take a week or two off for some summer holidays with family miss out

 

I mean, I've got the Typhoon & should at least get to the Nose art but I'd hoped to get the Tempest tricked out & I don't think I'm going to get there.

The compensation system is pretty the same for all situations, so only the aircraft price is compensated. Plus achievement, yep.

So, only gold and award ... in that case I don't think I will do the Vampire missions.

Already got the plane, so am interested in the paint job that comes with this version. Those make your plane special ... and selling my 'old' Vampire to make room for the new one is not really an option ; almost have it specialized.

If you have the Vampire you should already have a special paint job for it. The paint job awarded for this set of missions is the same.

My Vampire I got in Flaming Shores thru an operational order. The skin is silver/orange (no emblem/nose art) that gives 20% plane exp.

Was there another way to get the Vampire ? With this new skin ?

The Halloween event was the only time it was offered, AFAIK.

So we checked - thank you, GonerNL, for the question - and you can get camo+emblem+nose art for completing the set of the mission even if you already have the Vampire from Flaming Shores Op Orders.
