omg...  this is why i struggle     i run the same damn build on 90% of my planes

Which is fine if all your planes fly mostly the same, and/or do most of the same stuff.
Spoiler

But dont be afraid to experiment.

I started my Do 335 tricked out to out turn anything with 2 or more engines. So i could expect to win most high alt engagements (because ima heavy fighter and thats what they do)
and now im in the process of stripping out the turning stuff (save it for a typhoon maybe) and going full Wild Weasel for [edited]and giggles.
(pretty much every thing on SpiritFox's build except a Polished Skin instead of a lightweight wing frame)

I know I know "Never go Full [edited]" but "its just game. why u hef 2 be mad?"

Spoiler

You can, in theory, outturn anything that has a lower roll rate, because you can reverse more easily, and if you have good energy retention, you won't bleed airspeed.  So, using roll, rudder and boost, you can get behind a guy, eventually.

Not true. I once put Lightweight Wing Frame on the Duckling and proceeded to fly the entire battle with all my control surfaces critted.
