The other night I decided to fly my Russian P40 M105. Once the battle started the plane started to flop around like a fish out of water. What it was doing was literally spinning on it's lateral axis for the entire sortie.

I've seen this once before, but can't recall which plane it occurred on.

I didn't attempt any other battles, so don't know if this is isolated to the P40 or just a unique bug in the game.

Any idea of what causes this and is it unique to this plane?

My status is "Senior Airman". Is that because I'm old? :sceptic:

Not unique to that plane, but it's an exceptionally rare bug.

So, if I understand you correctly it only occurs with that particular plane.

Oh well, it was a freebie anyways. I can always use the hangar slot later. :D

It looks similar to control problem. Maybe try to reset controls and clear the cache.

No, it can apparently occur with any plane. I haven't seen it happen, but there was another thread a couple days ago where it happened to a guy flying a high tier German GA and his plane was rolling several times per second.

working as intended...

expect the unexpected

it's one of the last, few things that make playing this game interesting

just say "thank you wargaming" and let it go... with a smile

you still like this game

:)

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Had the same bug in Ju88 t5 bomber. Sadly, in replay plane wasn't misbehaving.
