...5 months, more or less. That's how long a logitech extreme 3d pro lasts, playing every day about 3-4 hours. Plus or minus a little, all over 4 sticks. There... time to order another one

mine last about the same time span but I am hard on it. I have two of them and have found them to be the best for my kind of flying (have tried just about all the other brands) I keep them insured so that when on goes down it gets replaced of free this works for me

Mine lasts more than a year for me. I always buy from Newegg and pay 5 bucks more for the 3 year warranty. Haven't paid for but 3 in the last few years.

I get about 9 months or so and as you can see, I fly a lot.  I suspect that flying a bomber all the time is somewhat less taxing on the joystick.

I just replaced mine and had it forever...I used it for 1.9 even. Can't beat a 3D Pro for the money.....

Interesting.  Yes, I do not play anymore since 2.0, but up to 1.9, started June 2, 2012 in CB and went to the Logitech 3D Pro after 1 week and I am only on my 2nd one.  Granted sometime during late CB or OB, the pots were giving me issues but I found site that told me how to take it apart and I fixed it.

If you all are curious this was the site that I used: http://anythingispos...repair-and.html

One thing I have taken away using a joysitck, you do not have to be hard on them, eventually I got use to flying with just my finger tips.  This definitely reduced a lot of the arm fatigue I use to get using the Joystick.

It is too bad that the Sinister Dr along with Zapperguy are gone.  All these new pilots could learn a lot from those two and many others.

Mine would last for 4 to 6 mo. But the last one I bought has lasted for more than a year.

I am kinda still around, I keep tabs on the forums here and there, and still have to keep my mod pack updated.  But yeah, I may not play the game on a normal basis like I use to but I still have it installed and log in every now and then and see whats up.

Love the stick, but agreed.  Gonna take my "new old" one apart and see if just the sensors are replaceable for less.  Will report.

Almost forgot, the biggest issue with the Logitech 3d Pro, that gunk up the Pots in the stick is the rubber boot.  Because of the use of the stick it rubs and grinds the rubber into particles and it falls into the joystick housing and the Pots and other moving parts in the housing are Greased.  It is suggested to trim the inside of the Rubber boot to help lessen the amount of rubber particles that rub/grind off into the housing.

Well, and here I thought rubbing your joystick too much made you blind...guess I should get my partner to check her housing too...:hiding:

My question is which Logitech extreme 3D pro did you use? I see at least 3 different models on Amazon and was curious which is preferred.

Also, has anyone tried using the Xbox 360 or One gamer controls. How did you like it or not?

I have 3 Xbox 360 controllers and 2 Xbox One controllers laying around and was wondering if they'll work WoWP?

My status is "Senior Airman". Is that because I'm old? :sceptic:

I am living proof that you won't go blind.  And I recommend checking her housing for her.  You will probably do a better job.

From what I understand reading the forums, the Xbox controllers won't work with the game.  I have never tried it.
