Thanks for the post, trikke. I watched them both. The Mossie is one of my favourite war birds of all time.

Enjoyed the vids,
Too bad this plane is not represented that well in game, like where is that 57mm and no one seems to fly it like it was flown IRL (much like the Beau)

Wayyyy back in the day, when European Air War from Microprose was new, I remember playing my Luftwaffe campaigns, flying stuff like the Bf109. Lots of different missions of course. Often we did bomber intercepts. I hated dealing with Mosquitos because of how fast those d*mn things were. They didn't dogfight, they just flew in fast to hit targets and get away. Once they dropped their ordnance, good luck catching them.
These things were very different. These weren't like flying high up to intercept B17s, B24s. Stuff that the Bf109s were eventually optimized for. But as the 109s got heavier, they gave chase a lot poorer against Mosquitos.
I didn't know what Mosquitos were before playing that game, but they definitely made an impression after seeing them. When you talk about RAF aircraft of WWII, it's all about Hurricanes, Lancasters, with the Spitfire getting all the glory. Mosquito gets no recognition today.

i keep forgetting to fly mine, it was an effortless breeze grinding for it because Beau
i resolve to put it in the rotation more often
That's because its altitude is nerfed ... 1600 meters ? really ? think 6000 meters !!
And speed ? It's supposed to outrun about any plane of that period ... well. The Wowp version could use a rear-gunner ...
After flying the Beau, I was unpleasantly surprised ...

Thanks, Trikke!
This got me searching to see one in real life. Turns out one was restored just north of the border, by Victoria Air Maintenance, but it isn't open to the public:
(Over 1000 were built in Canada.)
But, as it turns out, I only have to go about an hour north to see one!
