That's a pretty fair assessment, I also love the Dora and just specialized it over the weekend so I'm looking forward to taking it out later

I have had pretty good luck with the Hawker line. Just got the Typhoon elite and pilot up to 96%. Pretty well matches and outperforms the Corsair and P-47. I don't have much problem with most heavies, GA or other MR's either.

I tend to agree, though I think in a straight up fight I might take an F4U-4 over the Typhoon, and Tempest over the F2G

I'm certainly inclined to keep all my Hawkers, I specialized the Tornado long ago, and while the Christmas Camos dont do much of anything they are kinda fun

The corsair line was one I went up first since I wanted the iconic planes. Never really took to them at least in 1.x  I did finish the line though.

Haven't really got back to them much since but have had some nice jousts with some flying the hawkers.

The F2G I was so dissapointed with I sold it, kinda like the P-38J. F7F was same way, could not get a handle on it, sold it and after looking at the pancake that long...I just lost interest in flying anything that ugly!

I know what you mean about the F2G, I've started flying it again with a fresh pilot, to go through the F6U and get to the F7U, because my original US MR pilot is happy right where he is flying the Starfire and because I guess I'm a bit of a completionist that way

The Typhoon is great for low level fast attacks it's got good energy, a good package of rockets and solid guns, hammer GAs and low level fighters you can catch off guard before boosting away

I don't have the Starfire..?? but have the 6&7U. The 6 is a blast the 7 is eh off and on. Then I don't have lots of time in it really, hate flyin against only bots.

You fly with joy or m/k?

I have no problem turning with just about anything other than low level LF. Are you chasing bombers? You're gonna loose some turning up that high but if keep it alt range, I ain't sceered to chase nething :)

The F94 is a blast, attacking with the Vulcan gun is like cutting planes apart with a laser, by the numbers it probably flies a lot like the F6U, maneuvering more like a heavy, but pretty fast and it's got some AA rockets, better than the German R4Ms

Sounds right!

I usually follow some GA or MR's, make one strafing run, take out some guns use 3-4 rockets for maybe one GT and least damage a few then head up for the dogfight. No advantage using all rockets so keep a couple for rocketeer ;)

Rockets seem to reload pretty quick also.

So I put in a bit of work & finished the grind to Tempest, its mine!

And solution to the question on the chinless version I thought I was seeing, apparently thats the stock version.

Yep, after first engine upgrade you get the double chin ...

Tempest is really nice. Both attacking and defending. I equipped it for some extra maneuverability, works well.

Seems to be not the engine (got it, still no chin) but the airframe.

Definitely liking it so far :)

And really not feeling horribly slow.
