Flew my Me-262 last night, focusing solely on getting specialist.  I played with some active forum members, and they saw how I flew - ranking 1 or 2 in each game, taking on MRFs with great relish, dispatching other heavy fighters with contempt, and making LFs pay for not having that zoom.  It was fun.  Got specialist, got a 7-point pilot with EG1+2 and ADE.  Added some turning capability with the specialist stuff, sadly said goodbye to my bombs (I soloed mining plants, twice before giving them up) and then proceeded to SUCK OUT LOUD.  I was faster, turnier, and had a better pilot.  And yet, everywhere I went, I was being double-teamed by bots, and hunted by humans.  Those wings make you a big, fat target.

So, I took them off.  And oddly, went right back to winning.  Hmmm.

As a nod to SpiritFoxMY, I grabbed not only nose art, but a shiny metal finish.  I love the way the plane looks now, and I like the way it flies.  If only I could trade out those bloody 30s for some 20s...  But, no.  Those 30mm cannon absolutely melt an RB-17.  And I can either light it up from on top, or from below and be gone before I get much return turret fire.  So, I have that going for me...

question:

discounting all statistics... no matter results

what did you have the most (organic) fun flying?

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

I personally only hate spit pilots who specialize.

I hate more the bots that defend them,  I use to zoom and boom on Spits escaping at full throttle but at the second run (at the most)  I got ALLWAYS one "lucky" shot from a bot that left me without engine (the end my friend).

Three times in a day, same plane differents mas and players, but allways the same end....HUMMMMMMMM

That's the thing, even though the Me-262 is a plane that folks complain about, I find it an absolute joy.  I'm not that good in it yet, but getting better.  And frankly, the version with bombs suits me better, and I do better work in it.  To heck with the extra airspeed and boost max speed - at T8, that plane can just about run away from everything.

I'm glad you had fun on your specializing grind.  You should fly what you like.  BTW have not seen you as of late enjoyed flying with you, we should get some flight time in.

This sounds like my experience with the Fw190 line. #metoo

Since I've been grinding, I have not spent too much time on Discord.  But I really do need to flight up with some folks - flying the Yak-15 solo is a dangerous proposition.  :)

Edit:  I am going to be on this weekend trying to get enough points for the Ta-152 and to grind my Yak-15.  I'll hit you up for some flights.  Also, since I can't seem to not fly my German heavies, maybe a little Me-262 action is called for.  My garish bare-metal with slutty nose art plane makes me smile every time.

And they should do the same thing to the new US bombers.

That's one thing people haven't been talking about.

With the introduction of more bombers, and now there being one at Tier 7, there should be more targets for cannons that don't target small nimble planes very well :)

Well, chasing directly after a RB-17 with less than 1/3HP remaining is just not a very survivable proposition.  :D

I spent a lot of time goofing around last night, and should have been paying closer attention to everything.  But I didn't care, I was just out flying.  :)

that is the only way I like this new (yeah, a year now) version...

the old version (pre 2.0) I would really care about winning, but now

kinda like spider solitaire, just burning time but still kinda fun
