Please find below some frequent questions about the new event in patch 2.0.8:

How long will the Operation Order missions be available?

Operation Orders will be available for purchase and execution from 8 November 4:00 PT / 7.00 ET till 5 December 00:00 PT / 03:00 ET.

How do I get Operation Orders?

1. Open the Supply Service window:

2. Select an operation order depending on which aircraft you want to obtain:

3. Purchase an operation order using tokens. An operation order costs 5 tokens. Tokens can also be used to complete missions in operation orders.

When can I complete Operation orders?

 During the dates mentioned above, you will be able to purchase and complete the operational orders to gain early access to the Fortress bombers and the Japanese heavies.

How can I get tokens?

You can receive tokens for the following:

  • Completing three parts of a daily mission. The number of tokens earned depends on the difficulty level of a daily mission.
  • Earning any Epic Achievement or Tiered Decoration, as well as one of the four Service Awards (Ace, Winged Legend, Thunder, or Hero of the Sky Badge) for the first time in a day. 1 is awarded for each achievement earned.

In addition, you will be able to purchase tokens using gold on every weekend and during the last week of each month at the rate of  1 Token to 50 gold.

  • From November 9 17.00 PT/ 20.00 ET to November 11 15:00 PT / 18.00 ET
  • From November 16 17.00 PT/ 20.00 ET to November 18 15:00 PT / 18.00 ET
  • From November 23 17.00 PT/ 20.00 ET to November 30 15:00 PT / 18.00 ET
  • From December 1 17.00 PT/ 20.00 ET to December 2 15:00 PT / 18.00 ET

What aircraft Operation Orders are available?

usa_flag.pngBoeing B-17D — Tier V American bomber;

usa_flag.pngBoeing B-17G — Tier VI American bomber;

usa_flag.pngConsolidated B-32 — Tier VII American bomber;

japan_flag.pngKawasaki Ki-45 Toryu — Tier V Japanese heavy fighter;

japan_flag.pngKawasaki Ki-102 — Tier VI Japanese heavy fighter;

japan_flag.pngRikugun Ki-93 — Tier VII Japanese heavy fighter.

What if I want to have more than one Operation Order?

One account can only have one Operation Order purchased and active at any point in time. If you purchase another one the previous incomplete Operation Order will be returned to the Supply Service, losing all progress made towards the goal, including missions completed for Tokens, and will not be reimbursed.

What if i don't have time to complete the Operation Order before the time runs out?

Each operational order only lasts 24 hours, but can be extended a further 24 hours for tokens. Also you will be able to re-purchase the operational order from the service supply "tokens" option. This also applies if you accidentally replace an operational order.

How long do Operation Orders last?

As long as you do not have an operational order active, the order will sit in your inventory until the end of the event on 5 December at 00:00 PT / 03:00 ET

Yes, you can. It clearly says so :unsure:

Pay 5 tokens for an ops order and then either do missions (extend period with tokens) or skip missions with even more tokens.

So my question to BF is, why after all the hype for patch 2,0,8 can I not launch the game this morning?

:facepalm:

My only concern is that the Japanese HF seems to be able to kill nothing beside large targets like bombers and GAAs (due to the huge gun carried by each of the planes), would they become dedicated ground-pounder killers? If yes then it's probably the end of my good days in my Me 265...

You mean that at the moment there is nothing that threatens your Me-265 ??  :amazed:

Me-410 and Beaufighter have no problem at all ,,,

Uh, 265(T7) won't see a Beau(T5), except ADFs.

And no they don't really threaten the 265. One point is that they have a lot of other things to do, and the other is that they don't have a 57mm gun.

In fact I hate the Yak MRs more.

So T7 require 16 tokens to clear per mission and there are 12 missions so 192 tokens to skip which run 9600 gold if you need to buy tokens or $45 and change to buy the gold.

3 tokens to extend.

The tier requirements for the mission are tiers 4-10.

Oh and they are mission chains so if you meet several mission requirements in one battle only the current requirement is met.

Right, I'm going to answer my own question:

The Japanese HFs' huge guns have somewhat acceptable RoF (no lower than 120 RPM except the weird top gun of the T7), so perhaps it would be able to kill some fighters as well.

Yeah, sorry. Got my tiers mixed up ...

Anyway in my experience you don't need a 57mm to kill a Me-265 ; a Spit with 4 x 20mm's also makes mincemeat of you.

I think people just don't play Doras enough :trollface:

I have reservations about the Japanese heavies - they sound like the Yak Multiroles of Heavy Fighters.

I took a look at the B-17D's mission chain - its easily doable in a single day of casual flying as long as you have high tier GAAs to grind them. I didn't look at the Japanese Heavy Fighter missions but trikke got 5 missions done in just over one hour worth of flying so it can't be that hard.

***

But a truce to this mournful story

For death is a distant friend

So here's to a life of glory

And a laurel to crown each end

Agreed, Dora's, Ki-84s, I-220s are all going to be hugely important in shutting down heavy bombers, not to mention the obvious top tier 262s and even Chain Lightnings

Is there a way to see the mission requirements *before* spending 5 tokens for the Order?

Some of the missions are easy.  Some are harder.  But the plane is worth it!

That's a lot of money for a tech tree plane.  I'm low on tokens since we just finished an event.  And if it costs me tokens to extend it day by day where I'm liable to miss a day and lose all progress?!

I can wait a month.  I don't feel like spending money to get early access to tech tree planes.

(I am looking forward to it.  I still remember the B17G plastic model I built as a kid.)

Why are there no Ventral (bottom) ball turrets on the B17 line?  This is an iconic fixture of the American bomber line....just sayin, this doesn't jive for lots of American players...

They are retractable too.  You will only see them in flight.
