For those unfamiliar with WoWShips, there is a game mode that allows one to play with all humans on one side, and bots on the other side. Match Maker sets up matches with identical vehicles on either side, so that the battles are as even as possible in terms of type, class and Tier. In wows, rewards can be earned and some are limited to T4 or T5 and up. It is a great way to learn the game, learn how each vehicle performs, and the reward of credits and other goodies is astounding. Wargaming has the ability to do this for Warplanes. We have recently experienced PvE in warplanes with the new changes to the wait times in battle que. Accordiing to the recent patch notes, if Wait time exceed 100s, then players are put into PvE.

Considering this is a recent development maybe not all new players have experienced this yet. WoWP has started to lengthen wait times before implementing PvE. Your thoughts on this idea for the future of WoWP are welcome. Please also consider variations of this battle mode, as in having it exclusively in T1-3, or as a Full time optional mode.

I entered WOWP with single player as my dream and PVE as my wish.

That's probably why I don't understand why some people want so many players every game...

Also if you take a look at the "Multi-stage PVP" thread, or whatever it calls itself, and if you compare that suggestion with this one, it is clear that WOWP players are significantly diverse in what they want. Some players just want an appropriately challenging stage where you challenge yourself with bots, AA guns and ADFs, while others want nothing from the stage design, just a good fight with fellow human players.

I like the idea.  I love having options.

I have said it before, learn from the other WG products on the things that work, and make it so in WoWP. The only thing that changes is the unit in play. But again I guess that is too much work to do.

I like the idea of only PvE in the lower tiers. This eliminates seal clubbing and gives newbies a chance to learn. TWA does the same thing.

make it an option not the only way I like taking out and teaching other humans.  A seal can not talk to a bot and a bot is not going to give a human pointers when they are doing something wrong.  We all learned on the lover Ts

i would miss the human competition, but i know that PvE would attract and retain new pilots

but could we choose in the hangar, like we choose a training flight?

you've got to agree... isn't game-sanctioned game-required baby seal clubbing a bit too much?

would you trade higher player counts for low tier clubbing?

edit:  i personally think that the bot coding has progressed over the last few patches...

In TWA, T1 and T2 are against AI only, T3 you can choose AI or PvP. T4+ is PvP only.

Just think about BEM on defending side, there's no doubt WG can give us some decent challenge with PVE, now all they need to do is to actually implement it.

Isnt this more or less how it is already though? You get MAYBE one player every now and them in tier I and II

Last couple of weeks, the low tiers have been crowded with humans.

Short answer: No. In WoWShips, one can choose what is called Co-op, where each and every battle is humans on one side, (with bots if not enough humans) and only bots on other side. Again, the vehicles are matched identically across the roster, tier for tier, class for class. Here in WoWp it only happens every so often, when not enough players for given Tier, and the vehicles often do not match up identically. Co-op is for all Tiers.

Yes, opinions vary as to what people want. I was hoping, similar to what you were dreaming, that WoWP would consider yet another option. PvE  "seems" viable because it is already popular in Ships, especially given that many players have "PvE" stamped below their username in WoWS. Maybe a clan- not sure? Either way, whenever I get the urge to play Ships, that is where I venture, simple FUN, lots of rewards, less frustration, skill still required but the game play is more ….. "relaxed" , in my opinion. And, humans get to work together toward a common goal- destroying BOTs.

As a MODE, it would be optional. In other words, PvP would still be available as in Ships- called Random Battles. There is presently numerous Battle modes in Ships. Just simply make the choice while in Port (Hangar) and battles continue in that mode till one gets tired and changes to another mode. BTW, WG said they would never do Submarines, and guess what was happening during the week of Halloween- Submarine Battles!

And yes, there were Patch notes about the Bot coding.

Player count would factor in favourably for WG, because one of their main objectives is to get people playing their products, and they don't particularly care which one, as long as it's one of theirs and they make  money. The argument about splitting population in Planes is old and tired.

Should add, in WoWS, there are no re-spawns. Dead is dead. PvE, PvP etc. except for special events, like Halloween. and it's nice to see, from a limited sampling (19 votes) that there is a 95% vote in favour so far.

Remember it's Targets of Opportunity in a Target Rich Environment.  WG is only providing the Opportunity and the Environment.

I wouldn't mind an option for new players to play solely vs bots at lower tiers as a way to avoid the clubbers, but I'd prefer for everyone else to have a proper PvE mode, not just PvP but everyone on the enemy team is a bot. Something like maybe Bomber Escort with all the Attackers being players and all the Defenders being bots, except the Defenders have no respawn limit while the Attackers do, as well as giving the Defender's base more hp, maybe 20 or 30. Hell, maybe even Invasion with similar rules so it could work for once :sceptic:

This is my IL-2 (t). There are many like it, but this one is mine. :child:

Agreed, wish I could press the upvote button more than once.

In the latest announcement WG have officially called ground hitters "PVE planes", so what's the point of forcing these "PVE planes" into PVP fights? To force them to act as targets?

I just don't see the reason to not have PVE mode now. Or years ago.

i'll certainly support PvE as a separate-but-equal mode, but i always get a twinge of disappointment when i see a whole team on the red team

as bad a pilot as i am... i still love trying to kill other humans       it seems to be deep inside me, sadly

but not new humans... just you guys!
