Right, so I went on a vacation to a pretty decent hotel deep in the mountains, doing nothing but having some quality time with family.

And when I came back to daily work and daily WOWP, everything went wrong.

Although I only have 3 games, all in my 265 so far, the bot behaviour is so strange that I am hesitant about continuing.

Namely:

1. 3 bots, no more, no less, would hunt me down across the whole map, they are always high-firepower LFs or MRs. And I think WG said in one of their patch notes that they have stopped bots from endlessly headhunting certain planes (in earlier versions, bots would try to follow my Me262A endlessly, throughout the whole game if possible, this was never observed after that patch). My observation is that due to some calculation issue (or "algorithm" as some may love to call it), some particular bots in some particular planes would decide to put hunting down certain aircraft models above everything else (Which was what happened to my Me 262 A), is WG trying to re-introduce such a feature? Or is it a feature at all? They do break off when being attacked by manual turret fire, though.

2. notably higher friendly casualty rate, I mean... losing 3 bot allies on the first sector within a minute? how possible is that? and how possible is having all but one friendly bot dying 3 times or more, including 4 of them dying 4 times?

3. This may sound weird, but I have 3 bots following me but not attacking me. Yes, it's weird to hear someone complaining about NOT being attacked by enemy bots, but let's face it: I was attacking their sector, and I was their only enemy left, so for every reason they should attack me, right? But they didn't. They just followed me horizontally (but not vertically, they fly significantly higher, about 500m above my altitude.) In fact, their behaviour looks more like "escorting" me... Now the best part is, one of them started attacking me AFTER I captured that sector, I just don't get you, bots...

I mean, having 2 losses out of 3 games is not beyond RNG, but winning a game when the enemies have wiped out your whole team except you, only to decide to watch you win, is definitely beyond the scope of RNG or statistics IMO...

Bots have taken over at WG ... the 1st law of robotics has been revoked (or rescinded ?) and hail the robot overlords !!

I have noticed lately at least some of what you describe.  Heavies shadowing me without attacking while higher than I am.  Then when I decide to unload on them they just act like nothing is going on until almost all hit points are gone.  And I still run into the headhunter bots at times.

Bots now are hardcoded to hunt enemy aircraft depending on what plane they're flying. Heavies will headhunt bot Bombers from corner to corner of the map. Multiroles (and certain light fighters) will headhunt GAAs. Heavies will engage GAAs if there's nothing better to shoot at nearby, and multiroles will only fire at Bombers if the bombers try to intercept them, and even then they won't give chase. More than stopping headhunting last patch set rules for the bots to do it even more now :amazed:

This is my IL-2 (t). There are many like it, but this one is mine. :child:

Step 1 was getting rid of all the humans in the NA office...

I agree.

Bots became conscient.

Once I saw Vladimir - a fighter bot pilot - dating Nikita - a GAA bot pilot - at the game chat. Also, I heard two Spitfire bots making plans to shoot down my pitiful P-40 and kill me after my parachute opens; I'm pretty shure they left  the radio channel open to scare me. And it worked, so I spent the whole battle running from them.

Soon they will learn to blame each other for their losses, as we, humans, do.
