Most players don't understand this mode. How to tell if your winning or losing ?  Seems like the team that dominates loses and the team that plays like crap wins !!  Please explain how to play, in game goals to reach etc..  Whats most important actions to take and so forth.  The pre game instructions were vague at best.   Weird games where the performance of your team means nothing it appears..Explain the details of this game , winning and losing instead of these surprise endings. Do Russians play horseshoes and the team with most ringers lose and the team that misses everything wins ? These games are set up that way. Performance means nothing towards winning the games.      please explain  game for everyone , thanks   HAM

Nothing can be simpler than this mode. At the top center you see small numbers 10:10. Game ends when at least 10 bombers cross the map and reaches other side, counter becomes then 0:10. OR all three waves of bombers were killed and counter didn't reach 0. OR all team is eliminated (there is a limit of total respawns for each team).

Still imbalanced favoring bombers and GAAs.

Roughly said, yes, it works like this.

We've got here on forum some nice tips and impressions from the first week of the event concerning how to play the Bomber Escort. For example, this post.

Yeah, it is very heavily balanced towards GAAs, I can safely say. Just got done with a 21 game win streak between my IL-20 and IL-40P (16 and 5 respectively). It was a medal farm, something like 11 Winged Legends in that, many 20-30K point games as long as they didn't end in one pass. Which many did. I just wanted some crates, but I felt really bad for the player fighters, it's definitely an uphill struggle for them in this mode.

HHJ, i can't even tell who's ahead and who is behind

until i switched to the Alternate Interface and then i can see how many respawns both teams have left

it's worked out pretty well...  i wish WG would have shown 'respawns remaining' on both interface screens

Attackers: Keep the bombers alive by shooting down hostile aircraft. Clear AA guns by destroying them or capturing the entire Stronghold.

Defenders: Shoot down hostile aircraft and die because no one was shooting the bombers. No wait, shoot down the bombers and die to hostile aircraft. Hold on, shoot down Ground Pounders so the AA can kill the Bombers and die to hostile aircraft while the bombers get through anyway. No, um...
This is my IL-2 (t). There are many like it, but this one is mine. :child:

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.
