On a related question/request, there are a lot of custom paintjobs for planes out there, how about making a method to earn/buy them? that would make an income stream for WG that would at least be a slow trickle.

Chrome paint is available all the time you just buy them with silver like you would with any other paint job. They are however only available on certain planes. The us planes have a lot of it. P40, all the p51`s, first p38, first F4U, F94D. Its mostly found on faster planes where the 3% cruise speed bonus will be useful but it is on a couple of the zero's as well.

Now you buy it. The distribution is limited to the planes that do have them in the past though.
WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...

Yep, you can buy it for credits or gold.
Don't know which planes right now but I've seen it. Also other metal paintjobs ... they add some speed.

Yeah...I think I saw some on the F2H and F-94D. The non-event metallic paint seems to be limited to high tier where speed is high...

Almost the entire tier 4 lineup has chrome paint as a part of New Year festivities, but those seems to be from event only. JL-1A also gets it if you popped the jackpot back then...
