Pilots!

 

Every battle brings new challenges and requires different tactics depending on the map and the map layout. And, for sure, you all have your most and least favorite set of map layouts.

 

In the update 2.0.7, we introduced a new map and adjusted some asymmetrical map layouts based on your feedback. We are currently considering the possibility of implementing more changes and will be glad to know what maps and map layouts you want to see rebalanced.

 

Here's the list of up-to-date Conquest maps and map layouts.

Please rate each map layout from one to five where:

5 - I like this map very much!

- I like this map but it has its flaws.

3 - Nothing special.

- It leaves much to be desired.

- Don't like this map at all.

Archipelago, multiple versions with the single missile base/command center in the north, then the garrison and airfield in the south     

 

although it just seems to be unbalanced... really, the one northern base trumps the two lesser value bases in the south

 

but new folks don't realize that       they think that it's inherently imbalanced because of 2 vs 1 bases, and begin moaning and complaining in chat      

 

move the triangle versions of Archipelago up, please?       move them to higher tiers where we enjoy the challenges of unbalanced-looking maps

I'd prefer not to have to deal with that map at higher tiers. The main reason I despise playing at tier 5 or lower is the abundance of 3-sector maps, leading to one-sided battles, which does really harm my overall Ground Pounding experience by either running out of ground to pound or being unable to even step out of my spawn :ohmy:

keep it simple:

Asymmetric maps suck.

Maps too large for the tier  suck (Cold peaks I'm looking at u)

 

All other maps are fine

Why are there so few 'low' maps with command centers ?

I have a daily mission to capture CC's, but it's very hard in tier I - IV ... only Archipelago has some layouts with CC's and Arctic Region only 1. 

 

Btw : are there any planes/plane-types that give you a better chance of getting a certain map ?? 

I don't get that impression, why else would they put you and your slow GA on those ridiculous maps where you have to cross the entire map to get anywhere ...

All map layouts with only 3 spots are very difficult for non-fighters (i.e. GAAs and bombers) to play, due to being too easily hunted down.

And please, remove that notorious asymmetric Archipelago map.

Also I think the Plateau series maps are too big for tier 4s, better raise the tier limit to T6 (as in T6 game, or T6/5 game).

And some of the Cold Peaks maps have the loading screen featuring reversed spawn position (as in showing the wrong spot for enemy/friendly).

Is it me and bad luck or are there almost no plants on tier VIII-X maps ??

Got a mission to 'defend captured plants' and so far only got 1 map with a plant and the plant is on the enemy side (ie asymmetrical) so hard to capture and defend.

So it's not just me.

I also had a "gain points when attacking plants", and I though the toughest part would be the tier 1-4 part, but no, it was the tier 8-10. I was like 5000 points away from completion, and I went for 10 games in my 1102B, only one had a plant, and I wasn't able to touch the plant because the enemy has far superior bot performance, and we lost in 5 minutes.
