I have been having some problems with the F94D starfire and I don't know if its just me or if I should be writing to tech support.

Problem 1-money.  It seems that no matter how well I do or whether my team wins or looses I'm always loosing money.  Is premium time the only way to make money at the higher tech tree planes?  Are all T9s like that or just American ones?  today I got kicked out of the game just as the match started and I lost 85k on a game I didn't even get to play.  Service is always 30k and repairs are usually more.  I get the service part.  10k for ammo, 10k for warhead and 10k for the fire thing.  But how are the repairs calculated?  How is the gross money calculated?

Problem 2-speed.  The maneuverability of the F94 is one of the worst but it has a decent speed rating so I went with a speed build.  I have all ultimate and fully calibrated equipment.  It has polished skin, uprated engine, and boost.  It now has a speed rating of 99 and I do fairly well with it but it seems messed up.  Cruise speed is supposed to be 490mph and boost speed is supposed to be 669mph but I'm not getting anywhere close to that.  I used the reassemble to go with max speed initially and had a max speed of 693mph but it was limited by dive speed to 680mph.  So I reassembled again for cruise speed.  I start the battle and every respawn at about 350mph.  It takes forever to accelerate up to cruise speed so I have to use most of my 17s boost just to get to cruise speed.  It seems like actual cruise speed is only about 450mph because if I boost above that and let go it starts decelerating to about that range.  I cant give an exact number because its hard to go in a strait line during a battle.  Also as soon as I turn it bleeds airspeed like mad back down to the low 300 range. This has made it hard to test top speed but it seems like I can just barely get above 600mph.  In real life the max speed of the starfire is 640mph so I figure I should get at least that as boost speed but nope. I looked at maneuverability and the min and max optimal speed is 273mph and 478mph respectively.  I could see that limiting my cruise speed but shouldn't that mean my cruise speed should be at least 478mph not the approximately 450mph that I am getting?  Really there is nothing stopping my cruise speed from being above my optimum maneuvering speed.  It just means that I have to slow down from cruise speed before pulling high g maneuvers.  Its the same as going below optimal maneuvering speed.  You can go below optimal speed and above stall speed but you just wont turn as quickly.  In real life there are a lot of planes that cruise faster than there optimum maneuver speed.  If you try to turn to hard while going that fast you can over stress the airframe.  I could understand if the game slowed me down to the optimal range if I was above it and I turn hard but it shouldn't be slowing me down to the low 300mph range when I'm already well within it.

I was thinking of reassembling a third time to get rid off the cruise bonuses since it doesn't work anyway but all this reassembling is costing a lot of tokens and money (that I'm loosing, see problem 1) for something that doesn't work.  400k plus 2 or 4 tokens for every spin is a bit steep for broken parts.  I want my money and tokens back but wg is too cheap.  They will just site the EULA.

Overall the F94 is a great plane but I think because its American it is too good for a Russian game.  Its like the game says nope you made it too good so were going to nerf it.  Its the same with the altitude rating.  The whole point of the starfire was to counter the Tu4 bomber, Russia's rip off copy of the B29s that they stole.  So the starfire should have the altitude to hunt heavies and the RB-17 in the game but nope.  With how I have the equipment set up it should be the ultimate BnZ fighter but nope.  I'm getting a bit frustrated with it even though its fun to fly so I'm looking for suggestions.

This bird would have fared so much better as a HF with a decent service ceiling, afterall it was intended as high-altitude interceptor.

Tbh, haven't had fun in it anymore since 2.0.

The Starfire is a big clunky platform, that mounts some of the most devastating weaponry available...

Something has to balance the unbridled fury that is Brrrrt, not to mention the most powerful A2A rockets in the game.

Engine is made of glass (too fragile, imo) however, even with armour.

Not sure why you have issues with credits... seriously... making 100k in a match with the F-94D (or any tier 9/10), standard account.... not that hard.

I don't want to hurt you... I just want to kill you!

I Love my F-94D...

Not Specialized yet, so I can't speak to that... though I'm getting close.

However I do run hard BnZ Tactics in it successfully...

It Eats RB17's in short order...

100K per match is common even in a Loss.

Rarely do I find that I can't Outrun or Overtake an adversary.

Unless I get Focused Down Hard... or do something Silly.

I hope you find a solution... I'll be watching.

I took mine out again today to fly several battles and see what's what.  I also do not have specialist on this.

I made OK money for sub-par performance and pretty good money for good battles.

As for speed, I don't pay a lot of attention to stats.  It does bleed speed maybe more than it did in 1.9.  You have to boost a lot.  I did not have trouble with someone in a down-tiered prop plane catching up to me like I do in some other jet planes.  With that said, it did seem to wallow a bit when going from sector to sector.  Also, if I, for example, saw an Me 410 ADA, say 2000 meters away, it would take all my boost just to get within range.  So yeah, it does appear to be kinda on the slow side in terms of acceleration, but then again, 410 ADAs were not sneaking up on my tail and shooting me out of the sky unless I did something bad like, you know, turn.

Did not have any trouble getting up to RB level when a couple of pesky bombers tried to come back and recap.

What I noticed a lot were my bullets plinking the enemy planes but the hits were not registering.  Since the bullets come out in one stream with the Vulcan cannon, you can watch were they go much better than with wing mounted .50 cals and similar.  I would literally light up a plane and the hits would not register.  This was a pretty regular occurence in the 94D and I don't notice it as much in other planes.  I will keep my eye out as I think this is a well known game feature.

don't get me wrong guys I do very well in it.  got ace a couple times during bomber escort mode.  Lamberts fairly regularly.  but no matter what I do the repair bill is eating away at my profits to such an extent I loose money more often than not,  Actually even when I got the ace medal during bem I lost money. that's what really made me start paying attention.  Grossing over 100k is one thing but its the net after repairs and service that I'm talking about.

I am a bit of a clueless person in terms of where you find the earned silver vs. the spent silver.

I was keeping track of my earned silver and looking at my totals and writing them down after each battle.  Even with pathetic losses, I gained silver in my totals, but it was not equal to what the game was telling me I earned.

Short story:  I still seem to earn some silver in my F94D, but need to figure out how to prove it.  I see my silver totals going up, even after losses, but they are not as much as what is shown as silver earned.  There used to be an easier user interface to show that.

In any event, I posted screen shots and then decided they were not fully relevant.  I will continue to play this plane because your post made me try it again and I love it and dislike it depending on the battle.  When you can bbbbrrrrraaaaapppp or rocket a plane it is so cool.  Got a 3-kill rocket award without even thinking about it.

I guess my point is, regardless of the economy, this is a "for fun" plane to play.  If you want to earn silver, well, drop down to T8 and play a premium I guess...
