He-111 is nice but i can't tell if the bombs drop aft end first then flip out of the bay - like IRL way back when.

My apologies.  I guess I was wrong.  Isn't hangar space half price at the mo?

Is 150 half-price? Thanks for the info.

record a video for us, Chuck!      give me an idea how it flies...  what is similar to it?

I dont have enough battles in it to even try comparing it but i's fast and you rarely run out of boost.Last night was a struggle trying to get close to the bombers in time with my other fighters like the venom or mig but the he 100 can easily catch up to them.

I tried some BnZ runs with it and at 700 kph pulling up from the deck can be a challenge. I was out turned by the 109's but could easily outrun them.

He-111 does carpet bombing, so you get a salvo of 16 bombs at once - which drop in a line longer than the target.

not a fan of bomb strings

give me big fat individual bombs and lots of them

maybe that's not authentic and maybe i don't care much about authenticity

Hey, guess what? I joked with a player named Dukedodgers flying an He 111 after a battle, and told him how much I envied him and his glass-nosed bomber. Right after that, I noticed a new crate was in my hangar, and guess what? Orders for the Heinkel!

Now, what do I do? Can I read them without starting the process? Is it timed? Is it difficult? I've never done orders before. Please advise.

It is timed, 24 hours, from the time you open them. They can be extended with tokens or bypassed with certificates

Yes to the above.  Note that you must complete the op order before the event runs out (one more week?) or it will go poof into thin air.  That bomber is well worth a few tokens to get by the harder missions.  Grats and enjoy!

You can check out the requirements in the "Missions" tab, under Operation Orders. Once you open it, you have 24 hours to complete these orders. You can extend them by 24 hours with tokens

If the missions are too hard, you can also buy Certificates to bypass these missions. I think the Heinkel only costs 65 certs to bypass completely so you can buy the 100x Certificate bundle for about $12 and just get the plane. Do check the actual cost per mission

What I did was use certificates on time-consuming missions and do the reasonable missions myself. Saved me some certs that will turn into gold at the end of the event ;-)

I will echo that the 111 is a good plane. Worth a few dollars if it comes down to that

Thanks, sounds pretty good. It's an iconic plane for me.

Is the Bomber Escort event a good time to do the missions for this plane?

It depends on the missions, but yes, usually.  I would get a head start on it though.  Some missions are just sheer numbers of GTs or capture points.  I think it can be a bit harder during the event because of all the human competition.

I got it too ... flew yesterday for first time. Nice plane with big bomb-load.

Got mixed feelings about this plane ; yes it's iconic, but also the plane that leveled the old city of Rotterdam (where I live) in May 1940, despite a ceasefire. My parents, teenagers at that time, lived on the south bank, but saw the bombing and resulting fires.

Is it only possible during the event?

Screenshot that. If you have a bugged mission, you want to be able to send it to tech support. Also you might need to read the mission text again as well to make sure you didn't miss something. The documentation of these missions can be a little nebulous

Thanks. Never mind. I had to earn 300 points in one sortie. The way the graphic looked, it appeared that I could accumulate the points. So, the game was correct.

By the way, I now have the Heinkel. Thanks for all the help. I'm enjoying it so far. One thing I don't think anyone mentioned is its maneuverability. I feel like it turns tighter than the Blenheim or Dornier 17 Z, which allows me to line up better after returning for a second run on a sector.
