I'm sorry, I won't read the update notes...

they're just too damn depressing

Just think on this:

Moreover, the update includes balance adjustments for the Conquest Mode, some sectors, bots, and AA guns, in addition to improvements for the matchmaking system that should shorten the Queue Time and make teams in battles more equal "

Explained further down ...

  • Seasonal paint schemes — concealment bonus has been increased from 10% to 20%,  + 10% resistance to AA gun damage has been added, +5% resistance to gunner damage has been added. As before, seasonal paint schemes work only on corresponding maps.
  •  
  • Universal paint schemes — +10% concealment and +5% resistance to AA gun damage have been added. Bonuses work on all types of maps. Before, these paint schemes gave no advantages.
  •  
  • Special, unique, and awarded paint schemes have received different additional bonuses according to their idea. They are bonuses to crew experience, aircraft experience, cruise speed, and so on. 

All emblems and nose art now provide an economic advantage. Emblems have +2% bonus to crew experience, and nose art — +3% bonus to crew experience.

But did we really need another T III and T IV  bomber?   Why does T VII still go without?

I mentioned years ago they should release the Vampire around Halloween.  Unfortunately, a year after 2.0 release, I have zero desire or reason to pursue it.  They win.  Their sabotage is complete.

 

P.S.   Do the notes mention any sound changes?  I'm sure we all requested they muck around with that...

Bomber Escort Mode sounds interesting.  From the Release Notes it sounds like players' bombers cannot be used in this mode?

 

I'm glad for all the fixes to defects in this patch.

I remember the outrage in Tanks when they did something like this.  They pulled it due to complaints from players that said they would have to outfit all of their tanks in order to be competitive, the cost would have been prohibitive.

 

This is a little different, mainly bonuses to crew experience.  I doubt camo bonuses will impact much gameplay.  Gunners are way too susceptible to damage, any help there is good.

Economics

  • Changed algorithms for calculating credits reward to balance income for players of varying skill levels. This change involves all aircraft in the game. Average reward for battles of all Tiers will remain the same. Advantages of premium aircraft will not change. 

 

I wonder if this 'skill based income balancing' is applied to a players position in a single battles result or is the players overall skill level that will be used in this calculation in every battle.

Probably the former.
