Black Screen Issue

Pilots!

 

We are having an issue with the Queue Screen not displaying. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. 

 

The issue itself is that Black Screen is displayed instead of standard Queue Screen. Everything still works as usual you just cannot see the countdown and the familiar background. Once it finds a match, the regular battle load takes place. 

 

The resolution of the problem takes time. 

If you experience this issue all you have to do - just wait for the battle to load. You do not need to check and repair, re-install the game or take some other steps. As soon as the fix arrives we will notify you.

But we no longer have the ability to leave queue, correct?

Yeah, when we asked for a fix for ghost battles... I don't think this is what we had in mind.

I sent in a ticket regarding this issue. WG replied:-

I am sorry you are having this problem.

Please, provide us with WGCheck report:

- Download the WGCheck program:http://dl-support.wa.../WGCheck_NA.zip  
- Extract the downloaded zip file and launch WGCheck.exe as Administrator;
- After the first launch WGCheck performs an automatic search for installed games which are going to appear as tabs in the upper part of the window;
- If the WGCheck is unable to find the game folder, press "Add game" and specify the file path manually;
- Before you start checking process, make sure you have selected the game tab you needed. In this case it's "World of Warplanes";
- Press "Check" button, this will create a “WOWP_report.wgc” file in the previously selected game folder;
- Attach this file to your message.

Seems like a lot of work for just wanting to play a game. Are we Beta testing?

I am not playing til it is fixed and think guys are crazy to play til fixed.. Blind battles are not what I signed up for.

Send them a link to this page and tell them to ask Blindfold what is wrong, since WG doesn't know the answer.

No one can be sure that you do not have some other issue so checking things up is a decent way to start the conversation. Black Screen instead of the Queue Screen is a problem on our side.

Unfortunately, yes. Correct. As you cannot see the "Leave" button. I am tracing the progress on the issue in real time. As soon as I get any news I will try to inform you. At the moment the essence of the problem seems to be identified. 

The logic escapes me.  If his computer had a problem, how would he know if he fixed it?  Since it is a problem on your side everything would remain the same.  Wouldn't it be more logical to fix your side and THEN have him use his time troubleshooting his computer if he still had a problem?

It would if fix was ready by this time. I truly understand that this bug is more than annoying and try to push the process. As far as I know it should be fixed in the near future. It may take a couple of days for the update to be released. If the team comes up with any other solution and can release a fix earlier they definitely will.

i do like the amount of communication i'm seeing 

 

i'm pretty sure Kiev is closed up for the weekend now  (is it Kiev, or was that where WT was based)

 

it's not a game breaker, to me anyway

 

gotta be disconcerting for new folks just trying it for the first time, though, and they're the ones that never come to the forums
