I would love a tutorial on that.  It's a heavy fighter, and you fly it that way, but I know I'm not getting the best I can out of it.  I love to turn my back on a player then shoot him down with that rear 20mm, but this aircraft feels like someone could carry with it, regularly.

Anybody got in tips/tricks?

Well, you saw my video XD

I don't fly it often, but for a heavy, its:

a) Slow

b) Surprisingly maneuverable

c) Low altitude

d) Got a massive tailgun (I still can't get over how its essentially got a tier 8 tailgun welded to its rear)

IMO, the best way to fly it is to basically treat it a bit like a Focke Wulf, but with a massive tailgun and lower roll rate - you swoop in, pick off a few targets, take a look if anyone is diving on you and if there is, just level out and fly away and if there isn't, just keep on hunting targets one by one because its combination of decent maneuverability for a heavy plus a massive f*ckin' tailgun mean that you can afford to hang around and mix it up a little rather than screaming out of the area.

Check out the videos from The_Chiv. I don't think he's playing anymore though, WG got to him. He has old videos.

Block Quote

you swoop in, pick off a few targets

then hop into the tailgun to finish off stuff as you clear away, rinse & repeat.

There was a guy I used to run into a fair bit who spent most of his time in the SE 100, had stupid high skill (like 12pt) tailgunner, as soon as he saw someone closing in on him he'd turn tail & just smash them (me!) up with the tailgun, inflicting multi-crits & huge hitpoint loss from miles out of range of the 'hunter'.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

The only person I have seen fly it worth a damn is Nef, so maybe you could PM him.  I cant make it work.  and this is a complement, not a shaming.

The one by Bear is the objective lesson in how NOT to fly a heavy fighter of any stripe.  I watched The_Chiv and that seemed like a reasonable way to fly it.  I'm not sure I've seen SpiritFoxMy's video on that.  Maybe I did, and just don't remember?

I added gas cooling to the guns to increase burst length, added a sight, and might actually pick a Marksman skill for the pilot, if I ever play it enough to get the XP required.

The best way to defeat an SE100 is to fly a P-38F.  Oh, and know HOW to fly said Lightning.

i'm not a good se100 pilot, but mine has paid for itself many times over

love watching those wingtips flex and bend in a turnfight, because i'm easily distractible in stressful situations
