I know this will sound crazy, but I learned in WoT to ask crazy questions.

I assume that each time we use an auto consumable, we spend gold. Sounds expensive.

But, the consumables are currently on sale. If I select it now, will the consumable continue to be replenished at the reduced price once the sale is over? I think I know the answer, but I thought I'd ask just in case.

Consumables are only "consumed" once  a flight. No matter how many times you reuse them after their cooldown, they will only ever cost you the price of that one consumable.

So no. You should stockpile consumables while they are on sale because they won't be purchasable for the sale price after but you don't gave to worry about burning through your stockpile everytime you use them after cooldown.

Looks like SpiritFox took care of this question. You spend gold when you buy the consumable, whether you buy it in the service screen to load it on your plane before a mission or buy a bunch in advance. The tricky thing is the little box that is automatically checked when you first get a plane that says it will automatically reload consumables. If you run out of your stockpile and have this selected, you could end up buying consumables when you don't want to, so be careful about using the automatic reload. The first thing I do when getting a new plane is turn it off. But of course, then I have to be careful about making sure I manually reload my consumables before hitting the battle button.

wait, what?    i went to the consumables tab in the Depot just now, chose 'Purchase' option     but every consumable appears to be the normal price

when does the consumable sale begin?   did i miss it?

Example: P-40 Warhawk, Engine Cooling, Emergency Engine Cooling has little orange % sign and is 15 gold (same for my Ki-84). I believe it's usually 25 (visible in Youtube videos). For my Blenheim and Tier III GA, they are 10 gold. I'm not very familiar with the prices, but I saw the % sign next to them.

Thank you, Kitsune Sensei. So, I would expect my gold to trickle away at 25 each battle it's needed once the stock of 15 is expended. I have a lot of gold, but I'm playing all three of the WG games, so I want to conserve.

Do I stock up in the Depot? (I see it)

You don’t need to expend gold in this game like the other two.  Flight up will guarantee you wins more than buying crap.  But, it’s your money.

If you are spending real money for gold consumables for this game then you are plain doing it wrong.

Even when it was all humans in the game you didn't need them.

Like Bubba said it's your money though.

I have 30,000 gold from WoT.

I'm just curious about whether it's worth it to have the consumables operate automatically. Also, it might have been a one-time purchase and I wanted to clarify that possibility.

Gold consumables is always a crap shoot. I am pretty quick to hit the key to activate them, and there are times I don't want to use them. Low on HP, about to die, don't want to either spend the money or put it on cooldown because I will be dead in 5 seconds no matter what
