Yeah, it wasn't a great aircraft but it's novel and I'd take a Boulton Paul Defiant ingame. Problem with the Fulmar and Firefly as light bombers though, they were designed as fighters, they weren't very good ones given their size, but that was what they were designed for, and their bomb loads correspond to mid tier multiroles. If they were to go into the game, given their handling characteristics and bomb loads that's where I'd expect to see them.

For the record that was not really a serious post.

But I do have a weird fetish for ugly terrible British WWII planes :child:

I really can't see how Defiant could be a practical proposition.

Just maybe as a T3 or 4 where 4* .303s is a useful armament? But even then, non-manual turret is not very useful.

Whatever official role/type I would expect a Battle/Fulmar/Firefly line to have quick reloading bombs as primary armament.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

LOL, so do I. :honoring:

But no, I insist that the single forward firing .303 of the Fairey Battle be considered its primary armament! LOL, it's a candidate for the first t2 bomber though.

The Arado jet bomber, the Westland Whirlwind for sure.  The Ho-229, yes!  The He-177 as well.
