In this topic you can ask questions to the developers. 

 

Posting in this topic, please, take the forum rules into account (no flood, off-topic and so on)

 

Please avoid

Why is acceleration due to gravity less than 9.81m/s^2? Specifically in a climb. Less than 7.8m/s^2 in fact. Why does cutting the throttle stop acceleration in a dive?

With the even bigger decrease in players since 2.0, Do the Developers intend on doing anything to bring competitive pvp back? There are many players that may come back if it's re-introduced to this game. Our clan, and many others, have given up playing, but check in to see if anything resembling"clan wars" has or will be brought into this game. Like the other WG titles.

Is there eventually going to be a 3.0 version of the game and can you give us any idea if there is a process in development and any ideas as to the longer term direction of the game? Basically what can the player base expect in the future?

I'll do it...

 

Do the developers still intend to add clan wars to World of Warplanes? Is there an actual timeline for this being added? It was promised at release so many years ago and still no real news.

1.  Do the developers even bother to try and fix bugs?  I've had tickets in since Feb for a simple issue that the "developers are aware of and working to fix" according to customer service

2.  Why can't we see clan tags after names WHILE the game is being played, as we could in 1.9?

3.  Why can't we compare our planes performance against specific players airplanes during the pre-fight intro anymore?

4.  Do the developers actually read the forums to see what their customers want/need/complain about?  Or do they operate in a white tower somewhere?

5.  What is the rationale for the random lose/gain of calibrating equipment?  It seems to lose more than gain.

I've got a few:

 

  • Is the bomber escort mode still in the works? Are we expecting this game mode to come later?

 

  • Why don't you add more variety of gameplay content? Why only one mode at a time? Like online Mission Co-ops, or Historical WWII dogfighting events staged on a specific map each weekend? Or More PvP focused game modes without bots?

 

  • Can you add more modes to the MM rotation instead of just conquest like in WOWS?

 

  • Do you think 2.0.5 went well in development? I as a player have found numerous problems with the new system. For instance the restrictions of modules in specialist configuration and why they are locked. Or cramming consumable options in one of the 5 slots like Embellishment or Fire Extinguisher & First Aid etc, the unreliable RNG with calibration and high loss of materials, the very low rates of material gains even on wins, the unrealistic victorious requirements in specialist missions especially for bombers/GAs & Multiroles, the humorous green/red stat effects of each equipments... it goes on.

 

  • Do you have plans to tweak the material resource and its rates of gain. Like possibly earning considerably less in losses than wins. Or incorporating more ways to earn them outside of Conquest or Attrition?

 

  • Which do you think is more important to develop? Weekly/monthly Events like Albion or Operation Westwall? Or more content development towards gameplay variety of more game modes and more tech tree lines?

 

  • When are we going to see a form of endgame besides clan wars. Can we hope to expect more than just Clan Wars?

since the future development plans are obviously not an open map...

we as players are left to guess the direction of the game

given that is true,

I was wondering if I could get a feel for WG retrospection of the past 10 months of game development decisions

in simpler terms... what were they thinking

what are they thinking and,

what are the plans for the future

also, will NA player input ever be given weight in the decision making process

if so and other players across all servers are given input to be acted on

then, before decisions are implemented

they should be presented as interpreted for review before further progression...

otherwise it's going to end up with similar missteps we've been experiencing

.

I like this one. On top of the red headed step child treatment that WOWP has/still receives between the other 2 titles, for many years even NA is so far back from other regions that it's hard to tell if ANYTHING we send as feedback is ever heard or weighted. Mainly because no one in the main hub of RU ever provides recognition that our feedback was received. And even if it was at the slightest chance there's still that brick wall with the developers on the other side to go through. After all that, changes made to the next update becomes things we've never even heard of or even asked for...

Dear developer have U consider making a cockpit view verion for in game play,  This would give user a new perspective on the game dynamics and a difference avenue to approach the battle.
 
Have U guys thought about redoing the community voice ability in the game, if U could setup something that will allow individual that flight up together to chat without all the problem and not having to Use a third party program, would go a long way in keeping individual in the game.
 
Could U add some moving targets to the game, (trains, tanks, ships moving, planes taxicing,) this shooting stactic targets gets old fast....
Also, since U have bots in the game in all battles, change the missions on some maps, like having a mission on the ada airbase in which we find that all the aircraft are still on the ground, bomber, fighter, hf, and they are trying to take off  for a mission.  We love chashing them down and puting them into the dirt, its a lot of fun...  and make it a big force, 24 bomber, 12 fighter and 12 hf.....   we can handle it....   Make it into a special mission only in the middle tiers like 5, 6, and 7...   a place most guys have aircraft or it will give them incentive to grind for them.....
 
Hey guys, in your new campaigns could U make the maps places that really exsit, Berlin, Moscow, London, Paris, Guam, make a campaign map thats a sea map and we must find some japenese aircraft carrier with japenese planes...   or even usa aircraft carriers.....  Its a game, use your imaginstion....
This is a multiplayer game, find a way to incorprate a group of friend to fly together, even if its against bots, like 4 to 5 guys, or a clan of 6 against veteran bots, we will find a way to win. 
 
Guys love this game, but they love to fly with other humans. and kill bots, as the human numbers rises, start battle of humans against humans.  Flying into battles knowing that everyone a bot and U are the only human, Sucks.... big time...
 
Think about making some historic campaign, like the battle of britian weekend, where the individual can only fly a british or german aircraft in the mission and after the accomplish of the mission they can chose to buy gold at a good price, receive tokins, free hanger and 3 to 5 XP points for pilot, and if they don't want to they can fly a normal mission. (mission ideals, battle of stalingrad, battle for berlin, d-day mission, battle for the Arden)
 
I have a lot more ideal, let me know if this is to much......

To make the gameplay more exciting and intense we deliberately increased some of the forces affecting the aircraft. In order to make its movements more "sharp" and noticeable. This applies to the increased ability to gain altitude, as well as to reset the speed by braking.

At the moment clan activities are not a priority for the developers. At the same time we have a desire to carry out activities aimed at clan players and add some clan events. It would be great if the players were involved in their creation.

If we are talking about a full-fledged global map, and so on - no, we are not planning at the moment. We are discussing the possibility of organizing tournaments though. At first test ones, if the players like them - perhaps regular.

The list of fixed bugs you can find in patch-notes. You can send me the number of your ticket, I will try to help with the issue.

As far as I know, some of them do, some of them don't. Still it is not their first priority. The ones who read the forums, collect and deliver the customers' desires/complaints/needs are CMs. That is the part of their work.

Rationale for the random lose/gain of calibrating equipment is prescribed algorithms.

The bomber escort mode is currently being tested. Actually, it is the next game mode that will be released.

Unfortunately, we have no technical possibility to run several independent game modes at a time, but we are researching this issue to make it possible.

There were certain technical details which have already been reworked or are being worked on at the moment. For example, we have already fixed the situation concerning Specialist status and locked slots for premium planes, errors with daily missions. That all became possible due to your feedback. Players' feedback also allowed us to reconsider the restriction of modules in Specialist Configuration. In the next major patch we plan to reconsider the cost and some requirements in Specialist Missions.

Yes. Review of the material drop system is currently in progress. It is likely that certain materials can be gained not only in case of victory.

Why has it already taken 9 months?

 

We are thinking of special events for those who have lots of Tier 8-10 aircraft in their hangars. 

 

Actually, you have touched on another problem.  Why doesn't the game recognize all the tier 10 planes WHICH HAVE SEEN BATTLES on the clan web pages?

So no clan wars as in Tanks - OK...

 

One of the major draws for Clan Wars in Tanks is that clans can 'strategize' which areas to fight over to increase their chances of winning and thus you see the larger/better clans fighting over the areas with higher reward and the smaller/less skilled clans competing for the 'scraps'. In the tournaments we've seen thus far (aside from the community-run things) it's pretty much a 'top three teams take all' kind of situation. Do the plans for these tournaments include ways for the less-skilled to strategize to stay away from the more-skilled teams? Will there be an element of out-of-game strategy? Most importantly - will these tournaments FINALLY be run through the game client or will we still be collecting screenshots/replays and fighting over battle results and 'their team wasn't there on time because it was supposed to be 5:00pm EST but they got their last guy in at 5:01'?

These two questions are interrelated.

 

9 months ago the version 2.0 was launched and it required lots of time and work from our web-team which is, to be honest, small and has lots of tasks at the same time. Maintaining the portal, keeping information up-to-date, providing an opportunity to create news and articles - only a small part of everyday routine. Without a doubt, keeping Clan Web Pages working properly is an important task as well, and, luckily, at the moment we can allocate resources for the resuscitation of the functional.

Are there any planned changes to the Specialist system we could expect? If so, any info as to what they would be?

Also, any news on the second half of the Hawker and Bomber lines? Those have been pending for quite a while now

I think maybe there was some information lost in translation here.  The question for the developers, put more simply, is "Why is there even a calibration procedure - what purpose does this serve to enhance gameplay or the game experience?"

 

The overall rationale for the existence of this particular game mechanic is the question being asked, not how the particular game mechanic works.  Sometimes, those of us who are native speakers of English forget that English can be a complicated language, and the way something is stated can make the words mean the exact opposite of their literal definitions.
