So if one team out flies the other, out kills the other and out bombs the other team leaving more damage, this all could be all for nothing unless you fly where the developer thinks you should fly. I am not seeing any change in the scoring system whatsoever. Now I have noticed that a specialists score can be lower than a non-specialists score in every category and yet the specialist will get more chevrons. Fair I ask? Not hardly.  The only people that seem to understand this backwards scoring system are people that have some direct line to the developers. 2 things are also still going on that should be corrected. 1.If a player is able to stay alive and stay in the top 3, he should continue to get planes on respawn. It is insane to tell a player that scores high and stays alive, oh you are done if you die and you only get one plane! Remove the timeline crap.. Some of these big planes I have to kill 4 times, but I get 1 life? This logic gives the team that dies more an obvious advantage late in the game. 2. Why all of the sudden are the bigs out numbering the fighters when most are bots? Very little dogfighting going on. Just bigs flying around trying to crash into you at every turn. Who finds entertainment doing that? Requires no skill at all and makes the game even weirder to play. Why not just offer big 747's airliners and just fly around ramming each other to win?  lol, please fix some of this stuff and save the game, or people will stop playing one by one...

I don't have any line to the developers, yet I understand that personal points are just that.  Personal.  Yet, there is more than one plane in the sky, yes?  If each of your crap bots turns a cap once to your favor, and does nothing else the whole game, you will win, even if you don't do anything over the course of the battle.

Capturing and holding zones is how you get a victory.  How you capture them is not important.  What planes you shoot down not capturing or defending a zone isn't important.  I, for one, am constantly griping to myself that I get a 15k point game, and the other team has nobody higher than 9k, and we still don't win.  It's not because I can't shoot down planes.  It's because I can't shoot down planes in the proper place at the proper time.

Spaces in your paragraphs or bullet points would really help make the reading easier lol... But yea nobody gets the logic behind this scoring system. Since the highest scoring player on the battle out of the 2 teams does very little in how he/she can influence their reward gain on wins vs losses due to the RNG of bots. It's funny tho. You get very little complaints when winning against the same RNG bots. But it only becomes a huge problem with losing. Which is more understandable now that we have this silly victorious requirements to worry about with 2.0.5.

I still have no idea what chevrons do and how you get them. All I know is that they're shiny and make me feel all warm and fuzzy when I get that starred rank.

But a truce to this mournful story

For death is a distant friend

So here's to a life of glory

And a laurel to crown each end

LOL.  I heard, but have not confirmed, that a screenshot of those chevrons and $5,00 will get you an ultra large latte at Starbucks.

Chevrons with star gives one token per day...nothing more, nothing less.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...

i like the chevrons, and i like it when i get a bunch of them

however, when a red team guy gets a bunch of them, i scoff and tell him through my monitor that they're worthless and ridiculous

yes, i see the obvious contradiction... and i don't care

Its one of those thing you understand the reason, but can not figure out WHY sometimes!

they are trying to compress a whole campaign into 5-14.9 min.

I hear you.  I just got done flying my RB-17.  One game, low-level, blowing up everything.  12k personal points, and a loss.  Next game, high-altitude, dodging flak, trying to use the bombsight at 4100 meters.  6000 personal points, and a win.

It's all about the bar, not the points...

i like to think the chevrons represent strategic objectives....   the 'points' are how well we did inside the parameters of achieving our strategic objectives.... i.e., you can win a smashing tactical victory and still not win strategically (because you didn't capture enough bases, etc.)
