Anyone wonder why with all these planes they never released a Red Baron triple wing?

Fokker Dr. I was flown primary during WW 1 with production of the plane ending in 1918.

The planes featured in WoWps are primarily WW2 models.

The biplanes (predominately tier 1 and 2) in the game are based on real planes that went into production in the late 1930s, pre and early WW2. .

they did and I crashed it beyond repair in pre-alpha testing

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

The Dr.1 would be so badly outclassed even at T-1 it would not sell. As stated earlier Fokker stopped building them in 1918, and were removed from front line service by the end of June/July 1918 being replaced by the Fokker D.VII. By comparison the oldest plane in WoWP is the Gloster Goldfinch's stock airframe, the Gamecock, which had it's first flight in February 1925 and entered service in May 1926.

The Gamecock had a maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) and the DR.1 had a maximum speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). It would struggle to catch a TSh-2 in a dive let alone catch up to any of the fighters.

Developers answered that question long time ago. Any tier 1 plane will outperform any WW1 plane easy.

Tier 1 planes are much newer planes.

Of course, they can make tier 0, but I don't think so.

Tier 0 would be cool for a "training" tier!

More like for event like those Lanchester cars...

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

A WW1 version of the game would be cool for me since I really like playing the low tier planes but it feels dirty when I play them.

Interesting. Though, as WG does with WOT, they could adjust the stats to make it competitive.   Hell the create and sell fake tanks

The speed disparity alone between the Fokker Dr.1 and the tier 1s in the game are pretty much why. Armament was pretty similar and the maneuverability would be on par, but the durability and speed between WWI and interwar planes is like the difference between WWII and Vietnam. Just too much happened.

on a more reasonable level, some 4-engine heavy bombers (from both sides) would be awsum.  insane altitude, devastating bomb loads, huge survivability, monster OP turrets, etc, etc, and sitting ducks for the T10-12 fighters.  would make good T11 niche aircraft.  can you imagine clan combat matches, with fortresses and p51s on one team, and me262s on the other?  insane fun.

Curse you, Red Baron!

Side point: Red Baron actually only used the DR1 triplane right at the end of his career, got the big majority of kills on earlier biplanes and most of them weren't painted red.
C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.
