Game won't exit

When I want to close the game, it closes but the game keeps running.

I have to use task Manager to finish the process.

I've even tried disconnecting from the server first, no help.

Does this always happen or only certain times?

Good to know. Have you ever filed a Support ticket and do you have a Ticket Number if so?

with all due respect, your support team was never able to help me and many will agree with me as well.

 

EDIT: Ping is 50 ms higher than usual as well. Support will tell me to use pingplotter and give back the results. And then they will respond that they understand my "frustration" and I need to contact my ISP because the hop where the packet is lost is out of their scope. Funny thing is that I am not the only one who is lagging.

There is a situation with the support team that I think you guys should know about, would Sonic like to enlighten us to the aforementioned situation?

Happens to me too about 50% of the time, I have no idea why.

Happens to me too about 75% of the time. Once I close it with Task Manager I start with a clear cache and it's fine.

Hi Sonic. This was what happened 3 weeks ago. I filled out a ticket reporting the repeated crashes to desktop and black screens. and I received an "automatic response"....although I made it clear that I sent that information only to report the inconvenience and I did not expect any response...Well, I really expected them to tell me.."Thanks for the cooperation, keep sending us these files, this will help us"... or something like that.

 

Can you confirm this "David Warlock" is a real person?...

Yeah I get this problem from time to time. Normally I can finish closing it with task manager.

That is indeed one of our Support staff.

 

The reason I am asking for Support Ticket numbers is so that I can make sure that they reach the appropriate channels and receive the attention they deserve instead of just letting them go round in circles.

it's impossible to play !!!

you have a problem with the server.

Same issue here. Started with last update, I think. 

 

No matter if I start the game from WGC or directly, when I exit (via menu or via Alt-F4) it keeps running in the background.

 

Two processes:

 

WorldOfWarplanes.exe 

and

WorldOfWarplanesMonitor_x64.exe

 

Have to kill them manually. 

Which is quite annoying. 

 

 

Update: I cleared my cache due to another issue (http://forum.worldof...-work-in-depot/), and it SEEMS to have solved the "game does not exit" problem as well. Can't say for sure yet (was too lazy to try several times), but worth a try, at least now my game closed without undead background processes...

We are working on getting all these issues tracked and replicated so that we can track the source. All reports y'all have filed definitely help greatly with that.

Anyone else having this problem ? Just started recently...as soon as I exit game it locks up at the grayed out hanger scene and I have to restart to get out of it.
