REMARKS

- General recommendations for most aircraft. Specific aircraft may have different configurations, see Cheat Sheet below.

- Add your own recommendations/comments in comments section.

- Can replace one of the primary equipment modules for specific aircraft functions - Gunner Defense build is for most general aircraft with a tail gunner

- Marksman is a good Optional for large caliber weapons (30mm and up along with Gunsight.

- Gunner DPS build should have Turret Stabilization as equipment module.

- Gunner DPS build is for select aircraft with a powerful rear gun. (SE-100, A26B, ME265, ME 329, etc)

Grandpa's Comments/Reviews

I have experimented with the recommendations of using Gunsight and Marksmen on those aircraft with 30mm and higher guns.  Specifically the P39N/Q, A6M3, and Bf-109Z.  Using Gunsight I do see a significant increase in the number of hits.  Then when I apply marksman, not so much, that may get better with the 2nd Marksman skil, but haven't earned enough points to test.  I do believe the Gunsight is valuable on those higher caliber weapons.

On my GAAs I always go for max accuracy for two reasons. First, I often shoot beyond my optimal gun range to make the most out of my max range, which is critical to take out AA guns while taking as little damage as possible. Lowering the spread of my guns allows me to hit more consistently at extreme ranges (for example, 1500 meters for IL-8 and IL-20 with the 57s). Second, it helps during head-on engagements, as GAAs don't have any "aim assist" as other aircraft. I find them to be very unreliable otherwise.

Bombsight on a GAA is mostly a waste, so I highly advise against it.

Reargunner stabilization is a must imo for low-mid tier GAAs that have machine gun rearguns. It allows them to hit the enemy before they can hit back, and considering their lacking damage they need everything they can get.

Concealing Livery is an ok option, but GAAs are the best aircraft for taking out AA guns, so it can be a bit redundant for a decent GAA player
This is my IL-2 (t). There are many like it, but this one is mine. :child:

Either same or similar to the one as the link in OP..  OOPS, not a link on OP.  Anyway this is the one I used to summarize and make some changes to based on clan input..

Correct me if I am wrong, but does not rear turret stabilization have an add-on value to defensive fire. Have to look that up when I get home as am at work right now.

It benefits from the skill that lets the reargunner shoot further (forgot the name as I don't have it). Defensive Fire doesn't change anything on it

Ballistics Expert, adds 20% to Turret Stabilization
