Saw some interesting clips on You Tube this weekend of B25s armed with 75mm cannons.  They were actually used in WW2 for a strafing in the Pacific.  The clip showed the bombers engaging ground targets.  I wonder if this might be viable in game, the 75mm could really SHRED ground targets...just an idea.

The Hs 129 B and the Ju 88 P also had 75mm cannons available. I think the Junkers could use it
This is my IL-2 (t). There are many like it, but this one is mine. :child:

They eventually stopped using that cannon on the B-25 because accuracy was poor and fire rate was low. It was a manual reload, so they could get off about 2 shots per target run.

Very neat variant of the B25. But, there were many reasons why only a handful were produced. The muzzle velocity was very low, around 2000fps, contributing to low accuracy from an aircraft. The guns were manually loaded, resulting in a slow rate of fire. And what really killed the design, rockets proved to be far more effective.

In the arena of WoWP, the B-25H could be a great GAA.  With 6x.50cal, and 1x75mm cannon firing 60rpm, at a five-round overheat, it could be good for attacking even armored ground targets.

Fast enough to completely run away from German and Russian GAA, but powerful enough to capture any zone solo.

I saw something that the A-26 was also tested with a 75mm howitzer. I want to see that in game :)

I feel like such a plane would be abused to snipe BMBs from 1.5km away.
