Ahhh yes here he is again... V.K. seems to be doing this about every 1 1/2 to 2 yrs now l think this is at least the 3rd time he has come out with one of these kinds of statements.
Last one was around the WOT Rubicon fiasco time... iirc.
l don't see this as a good sign.
All of this is just my humble opinion of course...
A couple of guys...relatively... small timers lucked out with a ported game if l understood it correctly which turned into a raging success in their country and then was quickly started up in various world regions.
Almost overnite they were making huge dough to the tune of 500 M a yr off of that game alone. Soon in quick succession 2 more like themed games were added and some others of different genres.
In a few short yrs it went from a basement show to over 5 k employees and worldwide offices so was it just too overwhelming.. imo probably... the company suffered thru it and especially the gamers who bought into these "free to play" games.
But the hitch seems to be these guys soon become 1 guy and he had arguably questionable business sense.
lmo he was WAY out of his depth with the rapid developments of HIS company/games and they seriously lacked a cohesive vision or plan or especially leadership that made sense for going fwd.
Success in spite of best efforts to the contrary, questionable hires, questionable personnel appointments, stalled development, failed development, numerous office upheavals, severe issues with reading the game audience (or gawd forbid listening to their stakeholders), etc. we could go on a while.
Thru it all there appears to be a theme of holding onto control and not hiring real good people to run the company and just letting them go ahead and do what their hired to do.
Things get started then dropped or stopped, or revamped, critical game issues linger on n on, time is wasted and the famous "SOON" becomes the company moto.
How else can l rationalize the several yrs since and yes l have gone thru all 3 of the trilogy pillars of this company.
GAWD l'm a bear for punishment ..sigh. l suspect l'm not alone however
