How about a Gen-1 Carnivac and Ravage for you Ghostprime?

As for outside gaming hobbies, planes, fast cars and fun times with the family.

Wow! Those are in great condition!

Oh geez.... lots.

1) Hiking/Mountain climbing: I've bagged 36 of the 48 4000 footers in NH, and several of the other high peaks in the northeast. A lot of those in the Winter as well. Some were part of 20 to 30 mile multi day backpacks. Encountered everything from freak snow storms with hurricane force winds to 16 hour long torrential rain storms. Fun stuff!

2) Distance running: 5k, Half Marathon, 200 mile team relays. If it's insane, I'm in. My team is actually trying to make another 200 miler happen in September. We try to do one yearly.

3) Guitar: Never get into this hobby. You go broke quickly. I tend to collect more than play these days.

4) Kayaking: Another go broke quickly hobby, but it's quite the rush to take off 10 miles or so into the ocean and camp on various uninhabited islands.

5) Beer: I'd call this a hobby. I can't count how many breweries I've visited and I used to brew as a hobby and will do so again one day when I get around to renovating my garage for it.

This is a neat thread, it's interesting to read about some of the other things people are into!

We just had a little girl 6 months ago so I don't have as much time for my hobbies as I use to. But when I do find the time I like to shoot my recurve bow. I also have a small collection of HO scale trains and a 4'x8' layout that I'm working on intermittently. I'll also head out to the pistol and rifle ranges when I can. Pretty good at shooting clay pigeons too. Use to play a lot of paintball but its been years now since I've last gone out, hoping to pick it up again once I fix/clean up my gear. Aside from a few wood working projects, that's about it for me.

Hey Ghostprime! I have a 1970 VW convertible (it has a 1974 dual port Super beetle engine) that I'm gradually resto-modding. I also like to cook with my Masterbuilt electric smoker.

Though I'm not terribly interesting in real life. I do dabble with developing games and coding. However probably the most interesting thing I do is teach people about aircraft history, still recall going to an air force museum in my state and teaching some of the people there things about the aircraft they took care of, or basically being an impromptu tour-guide for my class during a field trip a few years back.

I do fly Chinese aircraft a fair amount so... *ahem*

CHINA NUMBAH WAN

I even made a custom skin for my IL-10M!

I have 3 kids under the age of 14 so my hobbies don't get much attention. WoWp doesn't get as much time anymore but WoT does. When I have time I build hotrods, sold my 1930 Model A sedan a couple yes ago, now starting a 52 Chevy Deluxe Coupe. Now that winter is ending looking forward to getting the smoker going. I smoke a mean pork roast and beef brisket! Summer also brings baseball and softball. I have coached the teams for my oldest two kids for the past eight years. My youngest will start t-ball next summer! I also collect old history books about WW2. The ones written in the late 40's have many stories and pictures that have been forgotten!

My hobby turned into a full time "gig" for me. I get to travel around and play music now. From small hole in the wall pubs doing an acoustic thing to big music fests in front of 10's of 1000's of people. When im not doing that im usually in the studio either engineering other bands or doing session work playing either the bass or guitar. I attached a couple photos from a few shows that i played here and there.
porterfieldcrowdfromstage.jpg This is the crowd at one of the festivals. thebusesatporterfield.jpg What we get to travel in, eastonsbus.jpg after one of the shows on Easton Corbins bus drinking his Crown Royal. sidestageoakridgeboys.jpg Where i get to sit when we opened for The Oak Ridge Boys. I can definitely say im thankful that i get to do something that i love as a "job", plus it allows me to game more and do more testing when im home for some downtime!

Building Airsoft from scratch, bits of alminium, PVC and stainless pipe I find, my goal is to spend $0 on each build :) I have bought scopes and laser pointers and some valves, mostly just Ebay stuff.

What do I like to as a hobby?  Fly of course!  Surely I'm not the only one here who holds a current PPL?

Not a daily driver but we take our bug out on nice weekends. We live near the Natchez Trace Parkway which is a nice 50 mph drive through the country. Perfect for cruising in a convertible antique car!

My main hobby is collecting military rifles from WWI through modern day. Which has branched out to featuring some of the collection on social media. I spend much of my day replying to questions I get about guns.

Before I joined the Air Force, I was doing well writing syfy and action/adventure short stories. Now that I'm retired, I'm back at writing again.

Wow, now that's a hobby... I dabbled in SCA in college, and couldn't take the bashing in heavy weapons... i did excel at period fermentation, though..:teethhappy:

So, does "working with animals" crossover with Roombas?
