Hello everyone!

I was wondering what hobbies everyone has outside of WoWP, and video games in general?

For me, I like to model in 3d, and I also collect Transformers action figures. (Super nerd about them actually) I even have a Youtube channel I recently began where I review Transformers. (Link: GhostPrime reviews

I also like to work on my 1967 Volkswagen Beetle, and am part of a VW club in my area. My VW was my first car, and I'd love to be able to restore it someday.

70 Beetle was my 1st. Souped em' up with cams, big bore cylinders and Weber carbs. Blew up Two engines.

Now I mostly try not to die. If I had known I was going to live this long I would'a taken a lot better care of myself.

I also liked to do graphics work and 3D modeling until I became to stoooopud.

Mine is currently Stock. I used to commute about 100 miles a day, so I needed something I knew was reliable. It's not my daily driver currently, but with a kid on the way my wife will be staying home, I may use it for my daily again.

I've got more hobbies than I have time for.

Modding: for WOWP and this other project I've been having to put aside until school's over. http://www.moddb.com...n-empire-at-war

Writing: I've got a star wars audio book I'm trying to write with my brother, I write short stories from time to time, and I'm hoping to write a full fledged novel before I'm 80. ;)

European sword fighting: I prefer the Long Sword (I want to make video of one of my sparring matches).

Amateur film maker/critic.

Fixing 3d printers. (this one's more of a job I don't get paid for)

Airplanes and wishing I could fly them IRL.

I build hotrods (well, build at them when I have time!) got two going now.  I build scale models of all sorts of things: cars, trucks, trains, planes, buildings, scenery...  Mostly in styrene plastic, but also in paper, wood, metal.  I like building and playing with R/C boats and collecting die-cast stuff,  Mostly cars and trucks tanks and some planes helicopters and even a couple of ships.  I have a very extensive collection of HO scale trains thanks to my fathers collecting habits and I hope to build a good sixed lay-out for them some day, because I don't have enough going on already!

I'm into photography, and had some pictures published in a magazine. A friend of mine wrote an article on the reproductive habits of marine snails and I provided the pictures. Not terribly exciting.

I'm also a writer, with a couple of fiction stories that have been published.

When I can afford repairs, I take my jeep wheeling. Done Pritchett Canyon, Hell's Revenge, and Poison Spider Mesa out in Moab. Of course I totally noobed it, and went up Roll Over Hill without having my lockers engaged. I made it up without flipping thank goodness

This isn't my group, but this is part of the Pritchett trail to give an idea

That's a hell of a hobby, one I fully support.

There are an obscene amount of craft breweries in my area... and even more if you include the nearby Provinces and States.

Ninkasi brewing, out of Oregon, made an amazing beer that used yeast that was fired up in a rocket and bloomed in space, because....reasons.

On the way to my grandparents I drive past the Four Sisters Winery.
Makes me think of nuns in habits whining. :bajan:

How about a Gen-1 Carnivac and Ravage for you Ghostprime?

As for outside gaming hobbies, planes, fast cars and fun times with the family.

I like blowing crap up.  I'm a Display fireworks supervisor on the side so I help setup big and small shows and I am about to take a course to do Pyro.  That will line me up to do indoor stuff like rock concerts.  Would like to work on movies some day once I retire from the RCN.  Can't wait for that!!

I read and...game some more. I run a Warbirds campaign for my cousins and (used to) run Jadeclaw/Ironclaw for friends. Have been part of a six year DnD/13th Age campaign. Played two other Warbirds campaigns, Exalted 2E, Eclipse Phase, Legend of the Five Rings, Infinity and Trail of Cthulhu.

Boardgames and cardgames include Seasons, Race for the Galaxy, Twilight Struggle, Core Worlds. Miniatures - Battletech and Flames of War. Used to play X-Wing and Dust but gave that up for lack of other players.

Reading when I have the time... usually military history. Mostly rereads of late: Scream of Eagles by Roger Wilcox, Finest Hour by Tim Clayton & Phil Craig and Band of Brigands by Christopher Campbell

But a truce to this mournful story

For death is a distant friend

So here's to a life of glory

And a laurel to crown each end

My playing of WOWP and WOWS is after work each day and sandwiched between feeding the wildlife orphans my wife and I are raising to release to the wild. Currently includes eaztern grey kangaroos, wombats ,squirrel gliders, brushtailed possums and some assorted parrots. I once lost a game when a baby wombat started biting my ankle to tell me it was bottle time. We releaded a wallaby last week. One of the wombats should go in two weeks when the temetature will staybelow 30 deg c.
