If I just want to play WOWP this weekend for fun, DO I HAVE ANY OTHER CHOICE? No? Yeah, I didn't think so!

I'm interested to see if they've tweaked any of the dynamics, and what the heck, chances are we're going to be living with this mode 1/3 of the times we click "BATTLE" in the near future, might as well get the hang of it.

I've come to the conclusion that being at all concerned about W/R is not beneficial to my enjoyment. I love flying, used to love flying RC airplanes which I got a lot of self satisfaction in doing. I look at number of kills, my ranking in the team after a battle, ground damage and things like that to try to do better than  I have in the past. All this, is something I can do in my spare time that is fun to do rather than get into all the drama, P & Ming  about WG. If WG wants to try something new fine with me. Doesn't cost me anything other than the time I want to put in to it.

Have Fun guys.

Crush your enemies... see them driven before you... (and then there is something else after that, which I know but I won't say... :izmena:) Have to be all politically correct these days.

"and hear the lamentation of their women."

A great line, and LMBO.  Yes, hunting for me as well.  Winning?  Meh.

speaking of 'their women lamenting'

i'm glad that my wife doesn't know that my WR is dropping, because that will just give her more ammunition to get me to stop gaming

her favorite line "What, are you 13 years old?"

sadly, she's got a point there

Once upon a time, people used to take walks around their town and greet each other or they went to live plays. Then people would sit around their vacuum tube radios in the evening and listen to shows. Then later people turned to television. When I was very young we had 4 maybe 5 channels, with an antenna on our roof. Then cable and satellite television happened and we had 100's of choices for channels. Then video game consoles and personal computers came about. Things got more sophisticated and miniaturized. And now we sit on the verge of the great artificial intelligence and virtual reality revolution, heck its happening right now.

My point is that times change, things change, norms change. I play video games, I'm not a kid. The future will all be about participation and interaction within a virtual framework. The future will be about A.I. being incorporated into everything. So enjoy the simplicity of the here and now, where realities are well defined, and "everything" you own or are around is not talking to you. Enjoy what you have while it lasts, for nothing ever stays the same.

Rumor has it that Priola expects some changes to Invasion, presumably before the next round... I'll see how that pans out.

Even winning 80% of your matches gets dull after a while, when the whole game mode is an abomination.
