Operation Westwall is here and it brings with it the opportunity to earn some tier VIII premiums. The hype is strong with the Dornier, so I selected it first for editing and upload, but the Curtiss XF15C is right behind the Arrow. The Arrow is a strong contender as a heavy fighter at tier VIII. She performs bomber interception brilliantly, with three powerful cannons mounted centerline for consistent outgoing damage out to a range of 1km. Her construction is rugged and her engines are powerful. The lack of engine weight on the wings allows her a very high rolling speed and pitch better than one would expect from a German heavy. Her speed and handling allows her to dispatch most other heavies and light fighters that are unwary. High speed high altitude light fighters will give her problems, as can the Pancake but with planning or teamwork those difficulties can be overcome. Designed as a multirole aircraft, the Dornier was capable of dive bombing and close support. Accordingly she has the option of mounting four SD 250 bombs that do a whopping 5k damage in a blast zone of 75 meters without crew skills. Each one is capable of annihilating a light ground target like AA or they can be used in multiples to take down larger ground targets. With a very short reload time of just over 2 minutes on the bombs they are something you can use multiple times in a match over different cap zones as you sweep the map's skies of all things red.

Good hunting! :honoring:

Hey Magus, thanks for the write up and video.  This makes the grind of these missions more understandable.  I want both dem planes.

Thanks, Mars; and thanks for being a good opponent.  You scared the crap out of me with your ordnance loadout on that head-on pass.  :D

And yes; both planes are very strong entries at their tiers.  :playing:

I usually only use them to take out a single medium or heavy ground target, just both bombs on 1 target, if the opportunity presents itself. If I have a choice between rockets and bombs I usually take the bombs because more often than not, I am guaranteed to take out the target, whereas it is sometimes hit and miss with rockets.  The rockets have a smaller damage radius and less damage caused.  Also, I don't remember the TinyTims being very good against other planes, or at least I am not good with them.  The only plane I try rockets kills with is the F-94D.

That is "Bidibodibidibu" by Bubbles, featured in the movie "Super Troopers" and a total German meme-song.  :teethhappy:
