So the J-20 is your national pride? I thought it was an embarrassment? The fact that the WS-15 engine that was designed for it is unreliable & was replaced with the old WS-10B. So much for trying to compete with 5th gen fighters when it can't even reach supersonic speeds without afterburner.

Where did you get the info? Did you ever work in the military plants that produced J-20?

Or did you create those misleading news like the 20k battles you had?

You guys are too young too simple, sometimes naive!

If the top secret could be known by you then there is no reason for China to exist in this world.

TBH I have seen that news couple years ago, lacks authenticity since it comes from unreliable source.

Of course as a testbed it can have any engine, ranging from the obsolete WS-10A to AL-41F, or even

WS-18.

So are you saying the Chinese government is a unreliable source?

How can they say it is combat ready when they are fitted with old engines & the WS -15 engine is still being developed?

It's a testbed and what matters if they decided to install older engines? Besides those news are never authentic

& is only meant to confound your country and its allies.

Didn't the F-22 come out like 10 years ago?  And we are buying used Super Hornets.

Canada is choosing to purchase used F/A-18 Classic Hornets from the Royal Australian Air Force in lieu of new Super Hornet fighter jets.

well, at least they won't just blow up for no unexplained reason...

I guess they do that to confound ...

because I'm confounded badly...

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

The J-20 is "operational" in the same manner the F-35 is "operational".

Meaning "barely but at least we're better than the Russians". China has much to be proud of given how quickly they've gone from MiG-21 ripoffs to fielding a genuine 5th Generation interceptor. Sure its still far from combat ready but considering where they started in the 90s its quite a feat.

I was gonna say, isn't the J-10 a copy of the F-16?

In the same way the Su-27 is a copy of the F-15.
