Hey all,

 

  I'm sure I saw a discount on Japanese planes yesterday, but WG staff said there was not one.  I specifically remember looking at it and it said "time left: 13hrs" at which point I hurridly grinded out the 2x T7s and bought them -- only to find no discount.  

 

  Now this is nothing unusual, as WG WoWp division notoriously has to be brought to task on their discounts; but this is the first time they've said "we had no discount program running".

 

  I know March of nations Japan started today, but I thought the A7m and KI-84 had discounts yesterday.

Well you see in the game hangar there is this tab called Specials & missions & if it's not listed in there chances are it's not on sale.

 

It just so happens that all Japanese planes are on sale for the next 3 days. If you purchased planes before the sale went live then that is on you.

On Thursday, the mission was under the "Coming" tab (or however it's labeled), and the countdown showed how long until it was available.

World of Tanks and World of Warships forums are religious about it too.

 

And I go with JP or JPN myself if I really need to shorthand it.

It slips a whole lot more in Ships as far as I can tell...dunno about Tanks.

not true. This is objected to in tanks and ships too. It is a derogatory term.

Sale does start today, and Its either "Japanese" or "JPN" does work as well. Noth the other, please.

I don't really have a favorite, but the Ki line I feel is weak for 8, 9, and 10.  Have not played the J7s that much at 8, 9, and 10 though.  Low and mid tiers they are all pretty powerful if you dont put yourself in a bad situation.

 

The J4M premium is just OK.  The J8M is a 'BLAST'...

​The Ki line needs an improvement to their guns, especially the Ho-5-II 20mm cannons at Tiers 7-8. The real guns were up scaled Browning M2 .50 caliber machine guns, capable of firing 750 RPM. Bumping up their rate of fire would balance out the relatively low damage per hit.

Yep. On ships I just roll with IJN and it covers it.
