Those double 30mm are no longer capable of fighting t9/10 planes. They fire slowly, and they

feature very limited DPS. The Ki-162-I, though an excellent dog fighter, appears to be a worse

La-160. La-160 already has 2 revolver 30mm, and works as intended, so there is no reason

Ki-162 series should not have the same benefit.

Those shells' damage could be buffed...can't go around giving science fiction Japanese revolvers now can we?

The J7W2 and 3 works because they have four of those 30mms...

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

Actually, sorry to sidetrack, but Pyon... how does the quad 30s on the J7 stack against the same on the Ta183?

But a truce to this mournful story

So here's to a life of glory

And a laurel to crown each end

The Ta 183 uses the ancient MK 108 that the 262 uses...the same tier J7W2 (and by extension J7W3) uses the top of the line model of the Japanese 30mm.

...but the real difference is the context in which they were used: The Ta 183 is built for engine power and it has high stall speed so it is not preferable to brake in it, while the MK 108s has short range so you won't have much time on target. The J7s, meanwhile, are attuned to low speed (I know, contrary to the real life intention as B-29 interceptor, but it's WG's world) and thus can utilize that massive firepower at short range better, whether in matching speed with GAA or in limited turnfighting.

Hmm. Ok, thanks! Pity - I've grown fond of the looks of that little barrel. I thought it might work out better than the 262, with better maneuverability.

Indeed the damage per shell on J7W2/3 is higher. J7W1 already has higher shell damage and higher DPS than Ta-183,

and the top 30mm does not increase shell damage, but ROF is much higher.

J7 uses heavy 30mm shells, and they have slower shell velocity and worse dispersion, but much higher damage if you hit.
