The CEO of wargaming said this about tanks,

I could only imagine the neglect WoWP had/has being the back burner of everything if this is the case.

Off Topic:  Hey K'Pop, what happened to your old avatar?  I liked the killer popcorn avatar and quite honestly miss it.

Hmmm there seems to be more "gift" cammo today than yesterday - they did run a micro patch.  As for the decals I just say give them time as they are busy with other areas like technical improvements and other game play related activities.  Essentially we are in Beta 2.0.

As for WG caring about it's customer base I sometimes know what you mean - the same month they gave folks who hadn't played WoWS some gifts they smacked the COOP players across the mouth by excluding them in yet another campaign plus the other campaign the COOP folks could do had a ridiculously campaign completion requirement.

WoWP has showered us with free premium planes (or hangar slots) and has gotten a tad bit better since initial 2.0 launch.  Note: WG please decide on how 20mm's work as each patch the over heat time swings from quick to normal back to quick overheating.

WoT - haven't played more than 1-2 "is it any better" games since 2013.  Not since some bureaucrat opted to start selling gold ammo for credits ergo wiping out the ability to angle deflect incoming rounds.  Add in their web page is a hot mess that reminds me of a Japanese bill post board....

Dunno at least WoWP is fun, WoWS doesn't feel like home lately.  WoT is pretty much a hot mess of "things to do but you needed to be there when they were added to actually do them."

They specifically made an active decision and took direct action to remove the alpha and beta decals.  This wasn't a "mistake", "omission", or "bug".  It was something they put time and energy into for the sole purpose of throwing the middle finger to longtime players.  As you point out, this energy that was used to think up this "good idea" and then take action on it could have been used towards fixing actual problems or improving aspects that actually need improving.

I find your lack of evidence disturbing.  The only correlation I see is that any new tech tree plane after a certain undetermined patch doesn't have the badges.

The weirdest things I see are unresearched planes that once researched but not flown yet have two plane kill markers or bomb markers.  Not sure what is up with that...

Sorry to see you go George.  :(

I hear you loud and clear. This game started to fail way back after 1.4. Those of us that were here know exactly what I mean.

I was really hoping for something better with 2.0, but sadly no.

Good luck to you going forward.....:honoring:

I've knocked on death's door.....no one answered.....I don't complain much anymore.

Me.

Hmmm I did this on my laptop - deleted my roaming profile and a few cammos I didn't know I had gifted showed up as did the beta emblems for a few more planes.  Note - it didn't do it for all, but dunno.

http://forum.worldof...no-longer-open/

Of course, I was getting the perpetual "loading" screen, too..

GeorgePatton, you've stuck through a lot more than I ever would have, a testament to your integrity and desire to make this game the equal of World of Tanks in many ways. You will be missed.

Read the op. Several people who have opened tickets about the alpha or beta emblem "bug" have received replies from WG that they are no longer supported.

That didn't just happen.  Somebody had to decide that, somebody had to authorize it, and somebody had to implement it.

I find your lack of common sense disturbing.

As we journey though life we encounter a lot of beautiful and ugly things, and wonderful and crazy places. But, ultimately, it is people that make the difference. I can't say that I knew you very well but I always admired your comments, as well as that of some of the others in the community.

To say your leaving is a loss is an understatement. Not just Wargaming but the world needs good people like you. Unfortunately the Good ones get "used up" (cannon fodder) for political/financial and other self serving reasons. I understand and empathise with your frustration. SOoo many let downs.

Out of curiosity I looked up Wargaming (Company) and, aside from humble beginnings, it says they have over 900 employees world wide and has a lot of subsidiaries. (https://en.wikipedia...ming_(company) ) They do some good community work. Headquarters is impressive. Big company now, but it may be that it now suffers from being too diversified and too many cooks all claiming a need for resources.

And, just to add a little satire to the running commentary -  Persha Studios has job openings ( http://pershastudia.com/en/careers/ ):

" -

We are interested in hearing from both entry level and veteran professionals. We value motivated and creative people who are quick learners and are not afraid to share their ideas.

What really matters is our respect for each other —"

You will be missed.

WoWP 2.0 may have brought more people in, but I just don't foresee many sticking around with the current state of the game.

Funny, this is exactly how people felt with WOWP 1.0. And 1.5... and 1.6... and 1.8.. and 1.9!

Glenn, when you knew me as Spittoon...  you were the best of us

when you would organize special events, we made it so tough on you...  it was far worse than herding cats

my most favorite alpha/cbt memories were the massive all-flying-the-exact-same-plane 'tourneys' that you would attempt to manage

the all-410s battles in particular... vintage Glenn

you're still the best of us, brother
