Do you see packet losses or very high ping (upper left corner while in battle)

You don't. I put a shortcut to the executable on my desktop and run that. Works swell
I only use the launcher to clear cache or install updates

i see the same microlags in battles, sometimes escalating to mini-freezes, using the SD client... i've learned to play through them when they occur
i saw them each time i played from a cold pc start, for the first 4-5 battles... but never any lags if the pc had been sitting and running before i started the game
newest drivers 2 weeks ago, and i now never run the game from a cold pc
this week, for the first time ever, i saw them occur during hour 3 of a session that had no lag issues in the previous 2 hours
every time i see these freezes, i see normal ping times up in the top left while the screen is frozen, then see a huge spike to 300-800 ping when the activity resumes ,then instantly back to normal
i run ping plotter concurrently, pinging the server edge router in DC every 5 seconds, and there's never been any noteworthy network issues
i switched the target to my local hut or CO router, my first hop outside my house, and set the pings to 1 per second... i see really minor bumps occasionally, but really nothing out of the ordinary
i never see rubber-banding... ever
the freezes seem to correlate to loud explosions near me, or prolonged machine gun fire... or it could just be my imagination
i turned down the main sound volume to zero... no freezes i turned down all 'sub-category' sounds except Aircraft, then inched up main volume... no freezes
surely a sound driver issue couldn't affect freezes that show wild ping rates in the top left corner
my sound drivers are the standard ones that came with the latest build of Win10, so...
