But a truce to this mournful story
For death is a distant friend
So here's to a life of glory
And a laurel to crown each end

I have the IID.
I've even managed to get a couple of kills in it.
In a word, it SUXs, but for some reason this plane which has a lower power to weight ratio than the lighter Hurricane I and IIA,B,C's can climb faster than them.
IRL it's supposed to be an attack plane, purely anti-tank and anti-vehicle.
It was useless for any other role.
In this game it's useless for any role other than shooting at ground targets.
A Britsh version of the Stuka with the derp cannons.

1. Try to secure the upper hand before attacking.
2. Always continue with an attack you have begun
3. Open fire only at close range, and then only when the opponent is squarely in your sights
4. You should always try to keep your eye on your opponent, and never let yourself be deceived by ruses
5. In any type of attack, it is essential to assail your opponent from behind
6. If your opponent dives on you, do not try run away from his attack, but fly to meet it
7. When over the enemy's lines, always remember your own line of retreat
8. It is better to attack in groups of four or six. Avoid two aircraft attacking the same opponent

It has been thoroughly tested and the clime rate is the same as the Hurricane II. The stats given for the Hurricane II are incorrect
I have not flown it in combat yet, but having a good number of games in the Yaks 7 & 9 derp cannons are quite effective against planes once you get the aim down. Marksmen 1 & 2 helps a lot

I disagree, but it does depend on personal ability to use slow firing guns.
It's not just slow firing, they're also fairly low velocity.

I have both and honestly they're both fun effective aircraft.
The Boom is more of a dogfighter, able to turn in tight and the like. The II D is a high HP killer. It likes to target attack and heavy fighters
that are down low(especially if the heavy has lost its energy and cant boost away fast enough). I enjoy the II D more right now since its my
first Hurricane(which is one of my favorite brit aircraft) and it packs a punch. Just don't try to out turn a light fighter like a Spitfire, Yak, or Ki-43...
You will get eaten.
The II D is also good at killing off base defense aircraft quickly as long as you get a handle on the ballistics of the cannons.

They require a bit of practice to hit with, but I'm able to use them to good effect.
I suggest binding a key or mouse button to Weapon Group 1, which will fire only the cannons. Without the pair of .303 MGs firing, you can more easily determine if you are hitting.

The 45mm on the Yak 9 is slow firing and low velocity so you get some serious shell drop to compensate for.
I get it, but I am comfortable with it. Marksmen skills makes a huge difference in landing a hit with wing mounted derp cannons.
To each their own
