Ive played WoT for 5 years, WoWP Beta and gave up on it then, and WoWs since Beta. All have had subpar to pretty good events. But this event is the worst I have ever seen. Finally get a mission unlocked (missions should be available from the start)  and have 24 hrs to get it done. I play for 1 or 2 hours a day... I then realize after completing "part 1" 2 times that I can not complete it during the event. So the time I am able to play WG wont even let you complete the mission I grinded boxes for to get. What the heck is this crap, make and option to opt out of event games then...

you can use tokens to extend the time

Would love to spend a premium currency on missions I cant complete, I literally can only play during the event times...

I work 7 days a week and have a home life on top of this game, really makes no sense to limit missions availability when its only 24 hours and it doesn't even suspend the countdown during the event...

The main problem I have is this:

Setting mission objectives that take 15 - 20 hours of play to complete, yet having the mission expire in 24 hours.

They aren't possible to get done within that time frame unless you play for 20 hours (or so) straight.

My J8M mission took me something like 22 - 26 hours to complete and 4x extends.

Working as intended. Designed to make you use tokens, make you use gold to get tokens, make you use money for gold and profit for WG.

The frustration- for me anyway- is the lack of thought that seems to have gone into these missions. As for testing, and WoP's Quality Assurance Department, well let's not even go there.

Did anyone in WoP's QAD actually try these missions before releasing them? Why release a set of missions so unbalanced and indecipherable, not to mention some almost impossible, and just before Christmas to boot? And then all head for the hills Christmas Eve and let the customers try to make sense of it all? What on earth was WG thinking?

As it is, most players have figured ways to take advantage of the heavy Allied bias by playing Allies and against an almost completely bot enemy team to almost always win- I think I've lost one game in a week playing Allies, and that's not my extraordinary skill, rather WG's lack of it (and my multiple crashes- to desktop, not ground). But it wasn't WG's purpose to allow such bias, and the handicap system supposed to rectify this appears a disaster too.

I'm new to WoP, but listening to 1.x vets, this isn't the 1st time events like this have been tried. Surely WG should have been able to produce an event that works (well, or better) after x years of development. And if not, why not?

It's catered to RU. So it becomes a copy and paste for an event not intended for this server (the mission requirements) - the albion thing is for everyone tho.

Missions aren't designed to be easy.  They aren't designed to be quick.  You need to put time into them.  WG wants you to play more matches before handing over a $50 plane or even an early access plane.

I'm not sure why folks expect things to be stupidly easy to get.

Then why not call it Skies over Muscovy and make it just German and Russian planes? Might be more balanced rather than loading it with the entire Allied OOB...

I don't, but I do expect to be able to understand mission requirements, even with my limited intelligence.

0/250 right next to the requirements is pretty obvious you need to destroy 250 of whatever it says in the text.

I can only tell about the last event 'Thor's hammer', last june.
That was quite balanced and fun event, only the time-window sucked for me (01.AM CET)
But every other day the winning side shifted.
Every day teams had more than enough human players on each side, but you could notice the top-aces shifting sides every other day.

I think the Japanese tree is too thin for that. No bombers, HF, GAA, or MR planes really. They would have a tough time taking caps link plants. Just not a balanced nation.

Now they could add planes to the tree...

All true. Maybe just call the event the Great Marianas Turkey Shoot and keep it to US and Japanese planes.:hiding:
