No idea, but usually I release my rockets at an head-on target at 1000 m, and I would suggest opening fire at a bomber 500 m ahead of you and completely facing away.

Depends on the tier, anywhere from 600-1200m distance.

Keep your head on the swivel.

This distance is exactly what I usually do with R4M.

for ground rockets I fire them from around 1500 m.

as for using ground rockets against air target... I just fire them for fun as they rarely hit.

i see, I am actually asking for the range because I want to try hitting enemy targets using rockets. :)

R4Ms has very short range and it explodes around 600m.

There was a better thread on this, but in their infinite wisdom, WG "cleaned up" our forum and deleted it.

lirc most of the rockets l have used self destruct at around 3800 ft. Thing is for single shot accuracy you will not hit diddly until you close the distance to half that at least.

LOL l don't do metric.

Doesn't the rocketeer skill also add proximity?
